CYAN Resort Kamala Beach Apartments Condominiums

The layout of the apartment was awesome. Lots of room and space and everything very new and modern. The beds were also super comfortable.

There were a couple things that I didn't like and important to note. They are doing construction next door so every day at 7am the hammering started. Not idea and wish I would have known that before as I would have asked for a room on the other side of the building or cancelled and changed hotels. You should let your customers know if this is the case. Also the hot water was very limited. Didn't even last half a shower. Just enough to get you wet then it went cold and the water pressure was weak.

The room was large, clean and comfortable. The shared pool was clean with easy access. The location was a fairly close walk to the beach and beach restaurants.

We had a couple of problems with the room. The apartment's WiFi connection would not connect so the staff brought us a separate router and connected us to that. The lock on the exterior door to the pool would not lock and it took a couple of days before the maintenance man came to fix it. We were able to force the door to lock and unlock each time we went out to the pool, but it took a few minutes each time we had to use it.

What a fantastic holiday. The Cyan apartments are located just of the main road in Kamala Beach. There's about forty units but I don't think all are rented out as some appear to have different balcony furniture or plastic on chairs and fittings. Our apartment was on the third floor overlooking the the pool. It had a well equipped kitchen with microwave, ceramic hob, fridge with small freezer compartment and utensils for two people. The bathroom had a walk in shower with hand held and rainfall outlets. There's a basin, robes and slippers. The towels were replaced daily and pool towels were also provided. The bedroom had a reasonably large closet with small safe that just about fitted a tablet. The bed was large (but I think they're very firm/hard - not an issue with us and have found this to be the case in all three apartments we've stayed in Thailand) with small bedside tables by it. There was a large Hisense TV which allowe d Netflix, Prime etc connection. This stood on a unit with 3 drawers. There was also a small table with lamp and large comfy chair with matching footstool. The balcony was a good size with a table and chairs for two and a small clothes drying stand. The apartment location is a very short walk to the beach and road which has a great selection of restaurants, supermarkets, family friendly massage Parlours, boutiques and tailors and few bars. The main thing about the apartment and Thailand in general is the wonderful people. The apartment staff were always friendly and helped us with any little problems we had. They did their best to accommodate any request and always with a smile. If you wanted a change of scene from Kamala - Patong is about 200 Baht single Bolt trip and Naka Weekend Market in Phuket (a great trip for a couple of hours) is about 380 baht single Bolt. Kamala has evening market (I think daily) which took about 15 minutes to walk but if your with a family it's off the main road so I'd suggest a tuk...

The property was hard to find with google maps. The immediate outside area was very scruffy and dirty. We had to move rooms because of construction work immediately next door (within 3 mmetres of our room. We had to complain about hair left by cleaners on the bed and floors. The pool area was a bit of a let down, a token gesture.

The location was very close to the beach. Though the surroundings to the resort were not great if I'm honest. But the resort itself was amazing! Huge sized room with a Queen sized bed with all the amenities required. Staff were super nice, friendly and helpful at every issue. Always smiling - just fantastic.

The surrounding area outside the resort was not great. But a small price to pay
