Surfstar at Mimosa Jeffreys Bay

We had a great stay at Surfstar at Mimosa, I only wish I was still there! We chose the pool apartment because I thought end of November would be hot, but alas I didn't get to swim. Other than that, our stay exceeded my expectations. Both upstairs bedrooms are very nice, if you don't mind the open design of the shelves. It's great that you can sleep with the tiny side windows open without having to worry about safety - there is a gate and a caretaker on site, but still it is just that little extra bit of care that made me feel completely safe. The curtains are almost black-out quality in one room, the other is lighter due to an extra window - spoiled for choice! The bathrooms are well-kept, and the kitchen is very well outfitted for six people, with basic cooking supplies on top. From the pictures, I had worried because there is no dining table inside, just a raised counter with chairs, not great for my elderly mum - but that was not a problem: even if it rains, both the outside table by the pool and the table on the upstairs balcony are well protected and make for a lovely lunch or dining location. I saw people commenting that Surfstar at Mimosa is far from Dolphin Beach, which isn't untrue - you have to take a 5 - 10 min car ride. But I found that more than worth it for the great view of the waves, you can almost see Supertubes, and definitely Lower Point and all the way to Albatross and beyond. I loved hearing the waves at night, too, despite the distance down the hill. There's a big Spar two minutes away by car, and it's really not that far into the center of town - I loved the location. Our contact to Karin could not have been better - she was waiting as we arrived to show us around and hand over the keys, and did daily check-ins to make sure everything was going okay. She was also available via whatsapp for recommendations etc.

Our 5 days stay at Surfstar Mimosa was truly amazing. Karin who is the owner, was much friendly and helpful, she cared and kept us updated with necessary information such as weather forecasts and great nearby restaurants to explore, should we need to. The place is of quality, peaceful and great sea views. The whole experience was wonderful and we are definitely coming back.

Modern and clean.very well kept place. Beds were comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Upon arrival Karin met us and showed us around. Attention to detail. A few dish washer tablets. Some coffee and tea and a small milk in the fridge. We were only going to be here for two nights so this was a great help. Large balcony with the best views. Even watched the dolphins playing in the waves. And there was an abundance of plug points. Thank you Karin. We will be back!

There is no aircon which is fine but Only one pedastal fan. More fans would be nice. If we were to stay longer a washing machine would be nice too, even if it's a communal one.

Well located and a beautiful place. Everything you need and a little more. We loved our entire stay.

We will like to return for many holidays x

The view, big rooms and supper cleanliness. Top quality cutlery and kitchen ware. secure garage parking.

Lounge suite should be turned around so you can enjoy the view from the couch.

The welcoming was very warm, the stay was pleasant, the beach from the room was BEAUTIFUL 🤗 we even saw the dolphins from our room ❤️ simply just amazing, thank you 🌸
