Appartamento Villa

The hosts are very friendly and nice. The view from the balcony is even better than in the pictures, and you can see the beautiful view from the bed. In the kitchen there is everything one might need. There is conveniently located parking just outside the house, but please know that to access the apartment you need to take a very steep road (which is very common in Madeira), so be prepared. The area is very nice and calm, there is a little bar just a minute away, great for a morning coffee, and a beautiful church, you can hear the bells every hour.

Comfortable and great quiet location, close to trails and easy access to all points on the island. Getting into Funchal was an easy 20 minute drive. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. Little cafe across the street for a coffee. Easy and quick communication with the host.

Everything was good

Apartment was extremely clean, with everything you need for your stay. Communication with the host was quick and pleasant, key retrieval was easy. The view from the balcony is absolutely breathtaking. Hot water was present 24/7, so was internet (although sometimes the wifi signal was not very strong, it was good enough to have zoom calls). There was a big parking space right in front of the house, one can easily park 3 cars there. Beach and supermarket (and small restaurants) are located downhill in the historic center of Ponta do Sol, about 7-10 min by car (I wouldn't recommend walking, unless you are a very fit hiker). In 20 min you can drive up to the plateau and enjoy fantastic views and hike multiple trails. Highly recommend.

Keep in mind that streets are VERY steep, so drive carefully! Bringing something against mosquitoes (spray or diffusor) with you is a good idea, as they can disturb your sleep at night. We also had some minor issues with the fridge (sometimes water was leaking from the freezer), but I hope it will be fixed. There is a local bar (?) 20 m up the road, on one evening it was very busy and a little too noisy.

Amazing view and the kindest host. The apartment is filled with everything you might need and is way bigger then we suspected it to be. Definitely recommend!

Time spent in Villa was very good thanks to all needed utilities, the view of the Ocean and the best host ever!

Great view on the ocean from balcony, romantic atmosphere of beautiful village, sound of birds and cocks and in the evening frogs and cicadas...nearby is a bar with fresh tasty breakfast. Peaceful and quiet location. Great communication with owner, when I had a question, she answered almost immediately

Great location for hiking levada do moinho and levada 25 fontes The welcome basket of fruit was great Soap, shampoo and laundry soap were provided. Adelaide was quick to respond to all inquiries

It's not a minus, but renting this apartment you should clearly understand, that it's possible only if you rent a car. You will live on a very top of the mountain with nice view, but don't expect bars, pubs, supermarkets and etc. over there. It's obvious of course, just for you to know))
