FINCA La PAZ - Jungle Retreat - Best Wildlife Spot in Sarapiqui

Das Haus liegt in einem wunderschönen grossen Garten mit vielen Vögeln. Es gibt einen tollen Sitzplatz um die Tierwelt zu beobachten. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat alles erklärt und gute Tipps gegeben.

Die Wände zwischen den Schlafzimmer sind sehr dünn, mann hört jedes Geräusch von nebenan. Das Badezimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

L’excellent accueil de Paul, tous ses précieux conseils et l’organisation de super activités (grenouilles et kayak) et l’incroyable « jardin » (on pourrait parler de réserve privée à ce stade) ou l’on a vu plus d’animaux sans bouger le petit doigt qu’au parc Manuel Antonio quelques jours plus tôt !

The finca was great! I didn’t need to go out birding because there we so many birds on the property! Also a lot of monkeys, lizards, turtles, and a sloth! And Paul was a fantastic host 😊

Very friendly host, exceptional natural environment with a lot of wild animals viewing from the front of the house.

Amazing view of nature from the terrace (we saw sloths, monkeys, birds.) Bedrooms are very spacious, beds are very comfortable, kitchen is well equipped.

Very friendly and helpful host/owner .... always willing to help and give suggestions for excursions, dinner, etc. Wonderful garden, where you can spot monkeys, otters, birds, butterflies, hummingbirds, ...

For the money, it was excellent.

Without any doubt, it was our best time in CR. At Finca La Paz we really felt in close contact with nature and with the local lifestyle. Paul, the host, was supporting us way before our arrival, helping us organizing authentic experiences (CR is now full of super turistic activities which really lack authenticity). We saw the first tucanoes of our trip, a lontra, some monkeys and other animals. We had the priviledge to visit the finca of neighboring farmers. Getting to know them and preparing a meal with the fresh products of their land was a precious experience that we'll never forget. We also joined a safari boat trough the river Puerto Viejo, were we spotted a lot of birds and iguanas, and also green lizards, fishes and monkeys. Absolutely recommended.
