Casa Por Do Sol

Perfect accommodation with a great approach from the lady who provides the apartment. We had everything we needed in the apartment and we have nothing to complain about. 100% recommend. The bonus of accomondation is its great ocean view.

Great apartment for longer stays - fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, terrace with a nice view, very quiet. You need a car to get around, but that's to be expected if you don't want to stay in the more touristy spots. The host is super kind and very helpful. Highly recommended!

Celina is very careful and nice host! Very specious apartment with 2 bedrooms, one living room, big kitchen with everything you need and a nice balcony. The location is quiet, views of the ocean from a bedroom window are great. There was always a place for parking on the street not far from the apartment. We liked hard beds and the cot for 11 months old baby was also good.

If you are travelling during winter consider to bring warm clothes. There is a heater and Celina was very nice to offer additional one, but if it is cold outside, it can be chilly in rooms which are not heated during the night. But it is not an issue related to the specific apartment, this is due to climate in Madeira. The apartment is only accessible with car. It is 8-10 minutes uphil drive from Ponta do Sol.

As a couple, visiting Celina's (and her family's) Casa Pôr do Sol was an amazingly warm and positive experience. The breathtaking view, spacious rooms and quirky decoration are, quite interestingly, overshadowed by Celina's all-encompassing kindness--which manifested even before our arrival, as we enquired about our specific check-in needs. Upon our early arrival, we were greeted by the hosts, who, mandarine in hand (or in bowl, to be more exact) quite cosily welcomed and guided us toward a slew of relevant destinations and suggestions--all of which enriched our overall experience. While this apartment is situated right above Celina's and her family's, you never quite feel like your privacy is compromised. If anything, staying at Celina's felt like coming home, from the very first moment. Suffice it to say, staying here comes highly recommended. ♡

I wish our holiday lasted longer, so we could spend that extra bit of time here.

Apartmant is very nice with a very kind host! She sent us some good restaurants nearby, shops and was very helpful during our stay. There is a nice view from the apartment, it was very calm location. The kitchen was good, we prepared breakfast there everyday and also the beds were really comfortable.

As we have trip on the start of the January, there was a bit cold inside the apartment. There was only one heater for the whole unit which was in my opinion inadequate.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ponta do Sol. The host Celina was very friendly and helpful

Celina was a great host. She gave us some recommendations and was there to answer any questions. The apartment was very clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Well equipped kitchen and the view from the balcony was stunning. I would recommend having a car if staying here as it is walkable to restaurant.
