Zoe by halu! Lovely Penthouse in the center

This is an exceptional property in the heart of Thessaloniki. The hosts are very quick to respond to requests, and they have the property in excellent shape.

The most important negative aspect is that you need to climb 100 fairly steep steps to get to the property. This is out of the question for people who are older and/or in bad shape. Totally prohibitive. We also had a terrible experience with the 'free' taxi offered by booking.com and their response team, but this is another story...

* the balcony could use a patio, to help protect against birds and sun in general * the beds are a bit small, they are ok for a single person but not for a couple

The apartment was lovely - modern, comfortable and fresh with great natural light. It was warm in the evenings and the water heat and pressure were very good. The location was great, very central in the heart of the city. Also, the check in and check out with the Halu Apartment team was very easy. They were also communicative during our stay and helped us out with an early check in the day we arrived.

It seems that others have smoked in the apartment, so even though it was clear that this was a no-smoking rental, it smelled of old smoke. Also, there isn't an elevator in the building. Being on the 4th floor of the building was great for the natural light, however, for us with a 2-year old and a lot of stuff to carry up to the top, it probably wasn't the right choice as the up and downs were hard. Also, parking was impossible nearby on the street and the nearby lots were all full on the weekend, so we had to find a place about a 10 minute walk away from the apartment, which wasn't ideal.

Luxurious apartment full of beautiful and comfortable furniture in an excellent location!

The stairs were exhausting but they were worth it!
