Apartamentos La Proa

Absolutely everything, without exception. The cleanliness of the room, the shower where the water runs amazing, all the utensils you need in the kitchen to prepare a dinner at home, the furniture looks better than in the pictures, the new sofa, which when I extended it I discovered that the mattress was still in plastic wrap, so my daughter was the first to sleep on that mattress. The distance to the beach is 20 steps, a great advantage to come to the room to get a cold drink from the fridge. Short distance to the supermarket, shops and restaurants around, and also the cheerfulness and good mood of the people that you hear until late at night. Last but not least, the welcoming host, Joaquin, and his family.

There is nothing I could complain about.

Location is fantastic

I booked the apartment for my mother in law and her sister who are 83 and 78. Before paying the full amount I contacted the property to check that they could have an apartment on the lowest floor. This was confirmed so I payed the full amount. Knowing the apartment and having booked it before, I knew they would be ok with 1 flight of stairs. When we arrived, we were given the top floor apartment and Maria was not helpful at all with this problem. Due to being peak time, there were no other apartments available nearby. This spoilt the stay as it limited the amount of times my mother in law and her sister came out with the rest of the family.

The property is above a toy store, so we were able to meet the host at the toy store to get the keys upon arrival. He was very lovely, friendly and helpful, helped with our bags upstairs and was on the app to answer any questions after the store closed. It's honestly such a perfect little spot, above the best restaurant (Bar America / Steak House / Cervecia) felt like they were multiple places that merged together.. SO GOOD. Great food, such great people.. took my daughter to get ice cream <3 .. the hosts are lovely and helpful. We had such a lovely time! Would DEFINITELY return :) The room has all the cleaning products, all the things you need. It's so light and airy. So lovely to see the streets when you wake up in the morning and the vibe in the evening is so fun! You can people watch for daaaays

If you want an early night, take earplugs. I have them anyway, and the bedroom is reasonably quiet before the bars and restaurants close. My mum slept on the sofa bed (which was very comfy btw!) and she needed earplugs too but we went to bed around 9/10pm which is early.

Great location, could be a bit noisy at times.

There was nothing not to like.
