It was pretty clean, cheap, close to airport

bad smell, no cutlery, only one plate and cloth will be nice

I wouldn’t recommend a single female or kids to stay here. I only figured out how to find it because of another person’s review. You have to walk down a completely unlit alley next to a bar and then stand in a parking lot wandering around because there is no signage and then calling to have her come out of her house to walk you to the apartment. Extremely loud noises all night from dogs, thin walls, train immediately behind the room, and planes of course. The sink is in “kitchen” area, separate from the bathroom, no hand towels either place (only shower towel). Coffee maker didn’t work (water didn’t drain into pot, stayed inside the filter?). I knew it was a low budget stay but this is overpriced for what it is.

It’s more about how I was treated. I asked to be collected from the airport. The friend they sent (wasn’t a registered taxi) charged me double what the airport taxis charge and spent the whole journey trying to convince me not to catch my bus in the morning and pay him to take me on the long journey. When that didn’t work he then said I had to catch my bus from San Jose and not the local bus station which isn’t true. It was an uncomfortable journey and a tourist scam. I have a house here so make this journey 6 times a year. I know the costs, I not a tourist plus I shouldn’t have to argue the fact I don’t need a taxi to anywhere else.

Kelly is a great host, she was always willing to help. She can provide with transfers to and from airport, etc.

Great communication. Patricia and Ginger were attentive and friendly. It was close to the SJO, only a 6 dollar taxi ride from the airport. Costa Rica has become crazy expensive and we just needed something basic and not too pricey for one night, for thirty bucks total it was perfect. There is a store, a bakery a bar and a restaurant all right next to the apartment. Fridge, coffee, and lightning fast internet were wonderful.

The location is not in a good neighborhood.
