Koules Sea View City Apartment

Location location location! Amazing balcony sunrise/sunset view of Venetian harbour! Steps from Venetian port, and short walk to Lion Square & Fountain, central market, Archeological Museum, Peskesi (book in advance!), supermarkets, etc. Modern 2BR/1ba with stocked kitchen (we loved Nespresso maker and panini press!), laundry washing machine. Good A/C and hot water/pressure. Very quiet and secure building with elevator. I would definitely consider booking here again on next trip to Crete with family / friends. Big thanks to Philippos our contact whose guidance and recommendations were very helpful. (We parked rental car nightly in ferry port parking lot 1 for 3-5 euros/night)

The property is near the ferry, the harbour, buses, taxis and restaurants. There are good views from the balcony and most rooms. It was bigger than expected. The check-in instructions were detailed and provided well in advance. There is an elevator, a washing machine and plenty of places to dry clothes. Two sets of keys and self check out.

You need to turn on and off the water heater. You also need to empty the bins.

The instructions were very clear and helpful, and it was lovely that they left food, milk etc so that we had enough for breakfast on the first morning.

Philippos, our host was there to greet us. He had stocked the kitchen with coffee, water, and delicious snacks. The views from the spacious apartment and private balcony were beautiful. The location was great, there were many sights, shops, and restaurants within walking distance.

We are so pleased we chose this apartment. It's in a perfect location for walking in Heraklion and for getting to other places by bus. And it has a SUPERB view of the Venetian fortress and harbour. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, well equipped and we were provided with a good selection of essential groceries, too, which were very welcome following our late arrival. It has a lovely spacious balcony to sit outside and admire the view (and plane spot!). The bus station near the port is only about 10 minutes’ walk away. On one of the days of our stay we took a bus (actually a really comfortable, air-conditioned coach!) to Agios Nikolaos from here. And buses also run to Knossos from a nearby stop. All very convenient and inexpensive. Our huge thanks to Philippos who was in regular contact with us before and on the day of our arrival, and was there to meet us and show us around the apartment even though we didn't arrive until after 10pm. He was also extremely helpful with restaurant suggestions (we went to The Walls twice, it was so good!). We can definitely recommend staying here.

The spectacular view, the big terrace, the apartment was very nice and well equipped

The property was perfect but it is place near by the airport, approx 15 min by car, and it was a bit noisy from the terrace. The most important part was that the noise made by the planes didn’t reach inside the apartment so we had very nice sleep, unbothered.

Wonderful communication from the host, couldn't do enough for us. The terrace is fantastic overlooking the harbour. The whole apartment is very spacious, clean and well equipped. The location is perfect for wandering the old town and connecting to taxis out to Knossos. There are multiple restaurants very close by but our standout favourite Veneto 1860 was just across the road. Quality food and service with a stunning view at reasonable prices. Just down the road don't miss the brilliant Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology.
