Alma Da Vila

The airy apartment has 2 french doors at the front which provide a picture perfect view of the town square, river Lima, beautiful bridge and hills beyond. We spent many hours sitting reading and watching the world go by from here. Room sizes are generous and decor is simple and stylish. The kitchen is fully functioning with fridge freezer, microwave, full oven, 4 burner induction hob and dishwasher. Sufficient pots, pans and utensils to cook simple meals. Car parking was easy and free! A lidl is with walking distance however we preferred to use the small local shops for our basics. There is a small fish monger around the corner and an abundance of bakeries with a wonderful selection of breads and pastries. There are many small restaurant within 2/5 mins walk who serve up local specialities at very reasonable prices. Not forgetting the ice cream shop that serve the best strawberry ice cream I have ever had. The host was very helpful and happy to share his local knowledge whenever I text him.

The taverna at the back was a little noisy at times and the 65 steps to the apartment confirmed I am not fit.

Nothing. Everything was as described.

The location is the most central. The view from the balcony is amazing. The apartment itself is superb - clean, chic, classic and at the same time with all the modern amenities. The free of charge parking lot is visible from the balcony. Internet is great. And we loved extra light in the kitchen through the window to the stairs - never seen such solution before.

Sofa bed in the living room requires some little skill to handle.
