GORDON's SHORE LUXURY APARTMENTS - Solar Powered

The view is spectacular. Really fantastic, it was the reason why we booked and it did not disappoint at all. With all the things that weren’t great, this was worth it. The pool area had ample shade for our baby which was great. The pool was too cold for her to go in which was unfortunate but the area was good. The complimentary items were a really nice touch and very helpful when cooking breakfast etc. Decent fans - you had to request them though

Electricity goes off multiple times a day. At least 3 minimum. Lift stops working when power is off. If you are inside the lift when this happens you get stuck which is quite scary. Only one set of narrow stairs outside to get down if all electricity is off. Not a friendly place for an emergency. There is only air con in the living room so we had to leave our bedroom doors open so the cold air would float through. We ended up asking if there were any fans but these should just be in the bedrooms ready for guests as there isn’t air con in the rooms We felt there were always excuses for the electricity going off daily which we didn’t have an apology for until we were leaving. However they did try to fix it everytime it happened, it was just 4 times a day. There was a lack of privacy with the maids able to enter unannounced through their own side door linked to the kitchen. Even if you have asked for no cleaning. They came in and surprised us without warning which wasn’t ideal. One set of keys (large bunch of keyrings) per apartment. Difficult if you're not all together at the same place all the time. Lift is noisy. If you are in the living area the noise is a bit much and you can see the people going up and down past your glass door - if you don't lock the lift door anyone can enter your apartment which this did happen whilst I was feeding my baby someone opened the lift door thinking they’d reached the floor they requested. The decor is tacky but it didn’t affect our stay. You can’t call the apartments luxury though as the decor is not luxury by any means. the pool wasnt clean most days and we would be using the fishing rod to clean it ourselves. It was too cold for us to go in with our baby but we had the jacuzzi to take her in that was warm.

Thank you to Michelle & Nico for the Anniversary / Birthday spoils. We had an amazing weekend at Gordons Shore Luxury Apartments. The view is breathtaking! The friendly cleaning staff come clean daily. It was the perfect weekend. We will be back.
