Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, perfect location & very appropriate decor to make you feel part of the period of the medieval city. All amenities were as stated in the property description!

The only good aspect would be the location, but unfortunately is ruined by the poor status of the rooms, as described below.

The first feeling when entering the apartment is described by a smell of old, which then uncovers a series of unmanaged issues and aging infrastructure. The worst aspect is that we woke up after the first night to find a bedbug in the bed. The apartment at first glance did not excel in cleaning, but the bedbug says it all, and for us it was a deal breaker to continue our four-nights stay. We immediately contacted the property owner, just to have the concern and complain dismissed from their side (after two full days). In the meantime we had left the unit for a cleaner accommodation in the same area, and the property owner denied any sort of refund or compensation, showing a total disrespect and lack of interest for their paying customers. In addition to this, during our short stay we noticed a series of issues in the apartment which only confirm that the infrastructure is poorly managed and not maintained at all. The washing machine was smelly to a nauseating level, full of mold, as showed in the pictures. The water running out of the sink of the toilet was as such a low pressure that was very difficult to wash your hands. The doors of the apartment have cracks through which the lights passes, and they remain semi-open. One bathroom created a very bad smell, the window had to be kept open to have a breathable environment. A smell of cigarette comes from the bar next to the apartment building, which diffuses in the whole building and is very annoying for non-smoking people. There are many accommodation in the same area in San Giminiano, do not waste your money on this one, you will regret it.
