We like everything, from the welcome until we leave. The hosts are amazing, Diane was always great

A very peaceful and enjoyable short break from the pressures of day to day life in Sydney. Apartment is so comfortable - well planned (loved the walk in cupboard so luggage is out of the way), beautifully styled and attention given to every detail. We appreciated the little touches of luxury Di and Ken had left with the bottle of wine, generous supply of coffee and Anzac biscuits. The terrace with its fabulous view over the garden and down to the Lake was ideal for relaxing and enjoying the sun (when it appeared), made more special by the various birds who joined us. We enjoyed the walk along the Lake in both directions with just the sound of lapping water and bird calls. Serenity! Lovely to meet Di on arrival and have a short chat. Thank you

That we couldn't stay for longer!

Diane, the hostess, supplied fresh milk, coffee/ tea/ sugar/ condiments, bottled water and snacks (Anzac biscuits in special packaging). I felt indulged. Excellent location, best views, surrounded by birdlife, the property is neat, clean and lovely, surrounded by manicured gardens, sloping down to a gorgeous lake front Diane and Ken had thought of everything to make this a home away from home. Great presentation and luxurious decor; cleaning supplies, oven, microwave and dishwasher if you needed it; a well stocked bathroom. The accommodation is spacious, complete with kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, dining, wardrobe and lounge all in one, everything you could need for a getaway. Parking onsite and an outdoor sitting area undercover, too. I also appreciated the excellent lighting ( as my plan was to tackle some patchwork), numerous power points, and the airconditioning and fans (which I did not need, but handy to have). It appears low maintenance, but I’m sure my hosts work hard at it. I recommend this highly and I rate it a 10+. Great value for money. Thank you for a wonderful stay. My hosts also sent me some wonderful scenic photos taken on a previous weekend. I will include a few on the photo section. Unfortunately it was rainy for most of my first day, but it was still a great day.

A lovely, relaxed place to stay, offering a beautiful view of Lake Macquarie.

Fantastic thorough instructions on how to locate the ppty, although I think that a larger and clearer sign to find the driveway would help a great deal. You have to reverse down the steep driveway and it's squeezy, but we can drive - so all good lol. Lovely greeting. Lovely spot, but we didn't get any opportunity to walk around the property or along the lake's edge as we were staying there to go to the Red Hot Summer Tour concert. The room was immaculate and warmly styled. We received some chocolates and a bottle of wine, with a welcome card and a sweet Valantines message. They went above and beyond. Keep up the good work.

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! We met Diane and she was absolutely fantastic, very helpful, accommodating and lovely to chat with. The room itself was beautiful, with thoughtful touches like complimentary wine, biscuits and everything a place away needs and more! She went over and above and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend this place and its owners, will certainly be back!
