Location is great and has a private parking. The boy in the reception is the sweetest, very helpful and kind. The owner however...

When we arrived they told us the price was double than for which we made the reservation. The boy in the reception was super sweet and tried to help. He called the owner who was very unkind and rude. He told us to either pay more (he said it was bookings fault but that's simply not true) or leave. Since it was late at night we could not go any place else. We figured it was ok since the room looked good in the pictures. However, it is very different. It's way smaller and really dirty. The bed sheets don't fit so we slept on the mattress which was also very dirty. The fridge was leaking so the floor was wet constantly. The bathroom was a joke, everything was broken and dirty. On check out day there was nobody to be seen so we couldn't leave. After calling, somebody came to open the gate for us but it took a while.

The staff was nice and friendly, they even asked if we wanted to go with a group to see tourists attractions and we found that nice and appreciated that.

We didn't like that a few times when we called the front desk for information etc or regarding things that weren't going well and nobody answers or was at the front desk, when we arrived in the Dominican Republic we called and message them directly that we will be arriving and nobody answered and we stayed outside for a while before the guy came to receive us and he was on a call with his mom and were not that professional, the wifi didn't work that well in the room sometimes and neither was there phone signal so it was difficult sometimes to get internet connection, we also found it a bit to much that you have to pay for so many things there in the Dominican Republic they asked for everything they do for tips etc for example we asked if they can clean the room because when we checked in they said every 3 day they come to clean the rooms and that never happend so we needed to asked again to clean the room and to get fresh towels and the lady asked if i could give her something/tips for cleaning the room and that i should pay her before I leave. All those little details made the stay a bit difficult, and I hope they fix their service for future guests, Also one day before we left we kindly asked the guy at the front desk that we would be leaving the next day early in the morning and to be specific at 7am and that we need to leave the room keys, he specifically said yes there will be someone in the morning to receive the keys and the day arrived and nobody was at the front desk so we needed to leave the room open and with the keys inside and I didn't find that professional. But we are still very grateful for the stay! Thank you.

Very friendly host and staff in general. They really tried their best to communicate with me even though I speak English. Room was comfy and I loved that I had an area to cook. The apartment is also walking distance to many restaurants, parks and attractions.

This place is so wonderful if you want to experience the true Santa Domingo. You have a small apartment with a kitchen, sitting area, and a separate bedroom. Tiny but cozy! The staff-Rosalia, Jose, Felix, and Miguel we're constantly there to help with anything that we needed. So friendly, you felt like you were coming home to visit family 🙂 I'm going back again and I can't wait!
