HP Vacation Marina Court

I didn't look closely at the apartment, but when I parked the car and took a closer look, the condition was terrible. The furniture was worn out, everything from the last century, the beds were sagging. The doors in the bathroom were rotten, the front door didn't lock, the door had been broken into many times. Terrible audibility, you could hear all the cars and planes. The bed linen was clean.

Location, close to fresh food markets, great place for cheap, local dinners cooked on the bbq or fresh fruits & veges. Also easy walk to big shopping centres & 1/2 hr walk to Jessletown jetty for island hoping. Air con was good in unit, great to have a large fridge & washing machine in unit

Cleanliness. Kitchen was not very clean, little ants all over the counter, inside cupboards & cooking gear dirty, chose not use and washed plates etc before using. Walls were dirty & badly marked, bathroom door moldy and falling apart from water damage, cockroaches in bathroom, parts of cornice missing leaving gaps in ceiling or ensuite. Sofas were well worn, dirty & uncomfortable. We had 1 day without water to unit. Contacted owner who advised it was a burst main and whole city affected. In truth found out it was only these apartments and is apparently a common occurrence. Owner leaves big bottles of water to use but no showers for a day, water restored about 7.30 at night, not ideal for price paid. Did not use pool as many units are permanents and it was mostly crowded by families and friends using it ( very noisy) . Unit could certainly do with a good clean and paint and some clean, comfy furniture, bed in my room felt like it was going to fall apart every time I rolled over, crwaking and hitting on wall behind bedhead. Ensuite had no hot water in shower/ bath that we could get working, so just used main bathroom. Cheap pillows, not comfy. Unit a biit noisy, you can hear neighbours washing machines, kids running around, music, doing renovations and just moving around early morning getting their day gojng, don'texpect a sleep in here!, not great sound proofing between units. Couldn't get tv working so owner brought over box and got it working but really only limited you tube music or a few old movies, but better than nothing, kept freezing, guess internet issues. We iriginally booked a 2 bedroom unit but when we arrived to owner decided to take us to a 3 bedroom unit in the neighboring building saying the other one was not suitable for us, not sure why.

Good stay, comfortable and clean. Host is helpful & friendly.

Comfort and convenience. Owner very friendly and helpful. Mall, restaurant and other convenient store only a few distance walk.
