"Converted barn with a rustic ambience"

Eine schön umgebaute Scheune in einem sehr rustikales Ambiente mit einem gemütlichen Schlafzimmer in der ersten Etage. Nicely converted barn, very rustic ambience with a cozy bedroom on a mezzanine deck.

Keine persönliche Interaktion mit dem Eigentümer/Management während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts, außer dass wir den Türcode per WhatsApp-Nachricht erhalten haben. Diese Tatsache hat bei uns ein negatives Gefühl hinterlassen, da wir uns als Kunden/Gäste nicht besonders wertgeschätzt fühlten. No personal interaction with the owner/management during our entire stay, other than receiving the door code via WhatsApp message, and this left us with a negative feeling as we didn't feel particularly valued as customers/guests.

"A special experience"

We absolutely loved our stay in this cosy accommodation! It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable! The view from bed was breathtaking! We had a fabulous evening enjoying the Karoo stars, the peace and tranquility.

Location

Not a bungalow, but a barn conversion with sleeping area on a mezzanine floor accessed via a precipitous staircase. With the shower and toilet on the ground floor this accommodation is not suitable for elderly guests.

Reinet’s Kapokhuisie in Nieu Bethesda was an absolute delight! The cottage was cozy and full of charm, perfectly reflecting the magic of this unique little town. Reinet was a wonderful host, and the friendly donkeys next door completely stole our hearts. A truly special and memorable experience!

Lovely barn conversion. The interior has been handled very well, particularly the solid wooden shutters. Open them on arrival and experience the light flooding the room. The building fits in very well with the Nieu Bethesda ambience and tempo. Enjoyed sitting on the porch with the companionship of a pair of donkeys in the adjacent field.

No interaction with owner/management barring the door code sent via booking.com. For me this detracts from the enjoyment of the stay. I found negotiating the stair at the top rather challenging given the low headroom where the roof slopes.
