Seedlings - at Birchburn farm

We had a wonderful stay at Seedlings and appreciated very much the freshly baked bread, milk, butter, eggs, lovely flowers and homegrown fruit treats that greeted us upon our arrival. The beds are super comfy and the wood fireplace kept us warm and toasty in the evenings. The hosts graciously gave us the opportunity to pick all sorts of veggies from their veggie patch and sweet figs from their amazing fig tree. Thanks, Euan, for showing us around your lovely flower farm and getting us acquainted with your ducks! Last but not least, don’t pass up the chance to cuddle up with Snip their sweet, friendly cat!

The location is a bit of a drive away from town center hence make sure you have bought everything you need if you are making your own meals. They offer a great range of kitchen utensils so rest assured you can make great meals here. They also have a beautiful garden where you can pick some fresh fruits and vegetables to top off your salad. Wind down on your way here, stay cosy next to the fire place, and the lovely tea and coffee selection provided. You will be surrounded by the most beautiful flowers and many empty vases for you to be creative at this flower farm 🌹

Nicola & Euan were exceptional hosts. Very attentive but left to yourself unless needed. Attention to detail throughout the accommodation. Welcoming fresh home made bread & condiments, eggs & tomatoes from the farm and fresh flowers on arrival. Nothing too much trouble. Ideally situated not too far from the vineyards and Marlborough Sound & very close to the Wairau river where we caught a Salmon and trout. Very comfy accomodation, especially the bed and even though it is next to the main house, it was very quiet. Huge range of flowers to look at and enjoy and wonderful garden to wander through.

Euan and Nicola are lovely hosts. They are very kind, and attentive to their guests' needs. The European style (rustic) bread they freshly baked for me was absolutely delicious. Along with the fresh eggs, milk, and veggies I was offered to pick in their organic garden, a beautiful omelet with the fresh bread and butter they provided was a healthy and delicious option. The kitchen and bathroom appear new, and the apartment furnishings are in good taste. The apartment was spotless! The kitchen had all the amenities I needed to cook nice meals. Nice quality soaps and lotions are provided in the bathroom. The property is quiet in a very beautiful setting. They graciously offered to drive me 10 minutes to town (Renwick) for my wine tour. Staying on an organic flower garden in the beautiful wine country was heavenly. I would highly recommend this accommodation. It's a 5 of 5 in my books!!!!! I will return again.

It was a perfect place to relax. The hosts were generous with their time and their produce from the garden. They left us eggs and sourdough. Just delicious in every way.

It exceeded our expectations in every way - easily the best Air BnB I've ever stayed at. They supplied eggs from their very own ducks, bread, milk, and good quality coffee. The decor was beautifully done with their own flowers on display. The beds were comfy with a range of pillows. And the location was stunning!! We went to relax and left VERY relaxed.
