Birds Eye View

The friendly hosts have thought of everything in this very well appointed little cottage. Great breakfast including fresh eggs. Was lovely to be able to see the chooks that produced them. We spent a lot of time sitting out on the deck - reading, eating and taking in the beautiful views. The outdoor bath is very cool. Although rural, it's nice and close to both Hastings & Havelock North.

Having seen rave reviews about how friendly Freddy the Burmese is, I was a little disapointed not to see him. However our host explained he'd been busy catching rabbits at night and was sleeping it off during the day. Maybe we'll meet him next time!!

Private and quiet with nice outlook over the bay and farmland

The unit shook when you walked and the outside chairs were not at all comfortable. . Bathroom tiny. Cooking utensils ( fry pan) poor quality for the supplied eggs.

very nice little retreat! received clear instructions to find the location. very nice and well equipped on the inside. good view. Very friendly cat Freddie who checked in on me once a day. the outside bath tub was a wonderful luxury !

Beautiful location with great views over the hills. Such a relaxing spot. Well equipped for a comfortable stay.

This little cottage was a great find. Well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. Comfortable bed and yay finally flat pillows. View was magnificent.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The peace the quiet the sense of connecting with nature yet close to town. Fantastic views didn't see any one else while i stayed there absolute serenity.

Only issue was that the bedroom blind above the bed could be more of a block out tyepe as the room was very bright right from day break at 5am. I do like a sleep in and the room could have been a lot darker.
