Cotswolds Lodge in Minster Lovell

Lovely little lodge, everything you could need is provided and some lovely little extra touches too! It was spotlessly clean. I had checked out of a very uncomfortable hotel locally and booked this and I’m kind of raging I didn’t book this for my entire stay of 4 nights. Very secure with electric gates and brilliant that there’s a car charging point too. ✨

This lodge would probably not suit anyone over 6ft! I personally am short so I was grand 🤣 I would have preferred a private garden area rather than sharing the hosts, but that’s just a personal preference. It feels a little too close.

Lots of little goodies to start our stay. More than I have had anywhere on my travels. The beds were extremely comfortable, the linen was first class. The decor too.

The little lodge is cute and cosy. We could not get the key out of the box but seemed fine once the host showed us. Sorry for disturbing you. There was a bottle of milk, juice and some delicious yoghurts for brekkie. The new electric radiator came in handy as it got quite chilly at night so all the previous reviews have been listened to. Nice stay and in a quiet area. The little cat was super cute and we loved her little chattering. Good decor and nice space especially the size of the lounge. The bedroom was adorable, that was my favourite room and the beds were incredible, I even checked the make because I need one of those in life. We also got to visit the ruins at Minster Lovell, which was fantastic. Thanks to Hannahs (host) recommendation, we also ate at the White Hart pub, literally a 5 min drive from the lodge and the food was really good - thank you! Great stay!!

The bed in the lounge wasn't that comfy as I could feel the springs but a mattress topper might help that. The kettle might need descaling - use some citric acid, works wonderfully. There was a pungent drainage smell in the morning but maybe worse as we opened the front door. The finishing of the decor might need some looking at in some places. But we would still go back because it's cute and does the job.

First of all, the property has absolutely no heating issue on an evening, this was one thing I found common in previous reviews, in the bedroom and living room there are electric radiators which work wonderfully. The property was IMMACULATE! No expense spared on this lodge at all, everything you could need was provided within the lodge, from fresh orange juice to cotton buds. We even got a little tea and coffee top up outside the door for us on day 2. All beds have a memory foam pillow and a duck feather pillow which was wonderful for fussy people like us! We came to stay as we attended a wedding nearby, we found this so enjoyable to the point where we will recommending to friends and be booking up against ourselves in the summer - thank you so much for having us!

Lovely large sitting room. Comfortable beds. Good location.

Shower room and bathroom felt really small. Did not like having no control over the heating, felt cold and needed to rug up with jumpers and blankets. Needed some paper towel or chux cloths to wipe down tables and benches.

Great location for exploring a good portion of the Cotswold villages. Just a few minutes drive to inconvenience shop and the lodge itself is lovely.

Peaceful location and spacious living area. Beds were very comfortable and host was very accommodating.

Shower room mat was always wet. The lighting was a bit dull for our liking, particularly in bedroom and kitchen. A larger tv would be better and the heating system was a little cold for us.

Did not have control of heating and we were cold. When we arrived we had to ask host to provide heat but it went off early in the evening both nights we stayed.
