Atlantico Apartments

We loved our stay in the “Apartment with Mountain View”. The “large double bed” is actually a king size bed and very comfortable! I don’t know why you don’t show photos of the adorable, bright and spacious sleeping area with the 2 double beds upstairs ? This is a great space for kids or another couple of guests. The garden is spectacular! We marvelled at the many types of palms, trees, flowers and plants. The views of the garden and mountains from our private balcony were magnificent. From the common area where the BBQ is, you also have fabulous views of the ocean and sunsets. We loved our bright, cheery and cozy apartment. It was sparkling clean and housekeeping comes every couple of days with impeccably fresh and clean linens that they do on site. There was always a free parking spot right outside on the street. Incredibly sharp knives and high end appliances which we found the manuals tucked in a kitchen drawer for instructions on how to use. Peter is very responsive to requests and concerns. It was very thoughtful of him to allow us to checkin at 8am in the morning after our overnight flight from Canada at no extra cost. When we showed him that the frying pan in our apartment was no longer “non-stick”, a new one was promptly brought to us. The dehumidifier worked efficiently and our apartment was nice and dry during this rainy, more damp season. Great wifi, never had an issue. Location is great, just a little outside the busier area. There are a couple little grocery stores within an easy 5 minute walk. We also walked to the downtown and beach areas within 15 minutes. If you have a rental car, Ribeira Grande is kind of central to everywhere on the island. This is a great jumping off point to discover the sights on Sao Miguel. The pool area was fantastic. We were able to swim up to the middle of October in a large, clean pool. It was also fun to watch the chickens and ducks in the nearby pen. Highly recommend this lovely apartment for a couples or families.

Occasionally there was some street noise (dogs barking & cars) when we were sleeping, but this was a rare occurrence.

so beautiful, we couldn’t believe the gardens! we didn’t get to try the pool but looked very clean and felt warm. our apartment was newly redone and so nice inside. our host was very friendly.

this is a perfect place to stay in San Miguel! the apartment is amazing with absolutely everything you need, very clean and cozy. and the hosts are friendly and so nice people. I wish I could stay longer:)
