Communication before, during and after our stay was prompt, clear and helpful. The photos in the website are very representative of reality. Hosts were very responsive to questions and requests. The interior decoration is beautiful. The flat is bright and spacious and cozy, Kitchen was fully equipped with free coffee capsules, appliances in good condition (oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, etc.). Bathroom is the right size and came with toiletries. Loved that there's a washer AND dryer plus laundry detergent. Internet was good, towels and linens are good quality. Mentxu and Pello went out of their way with Pello picking us up by car from the train station. It was a kind gesture which I highly appreciated! We were able to check in early. Bus stop is a short walk from the bottom of the hill. Hosts can give information on which buses to take and the schedule.

Not CONS but just things to note: Flat is located on a hill so it's quite a walk up. Not a problem if you are fit but just take note so there are no surprises. On the second day, we discovered there's an escalator at the end of the road that will take you from the bottom of the hill to the top (see photo)! However, I think it shuts down at a certain time so if you're coming from a late night out, it won't be operational. It's about a 20 minute walk to old town, depending on how fast/slow your pace is. We enjoyed the walk but some might prefer a closer location to downtown. However, you won't get the view and peacefulness of the neighborhood (which we loved). I think the shutters could be more secure. The weather was rainy and windy for a couple of days and twice when we got home, the windows were ajar. To be honest, maybe we did not close them properly so just secure the shutters before you leave to go out.
