Wrong info about how to get into the apartment

The flat is in a great location - 10 minutes walk to the sea front. It was clean, with a well provisioned kitchen. The pizza place downstairs was amazing. Can highly recommend it. The provided parking was close, and easy to get into (we had a large van for 9 people, 2m height, and got in through the entrance gate easily). The host was helpful with messages as to how to get the various keys we needed - it ended up being complicated but that may have been my limited Spanish.

Trying to stick to the facts here: the dishwasher did not work (flooded the kitchen when we tried), the shutter in our bedroom was broken with the strap tied to the table so it did not disappear into the casing, the cold tap in the bathroom only worked if you turned the stop tap in the cupboard underneath, electrical sockets did not all work, and some were hanging out of the walls, items of furniture were broken/would not open properly, the shower cubicle was broken, the wifi did not work, most importantly we could see no evidence of smoke or carbon monoxide detectors in the flat and the fire extinguisher, located on the balcony was covered in rust so it was not possible to see if it was in date or not. We were therefore nervous about what would happen in the event of a fire, especially as the reception and other areas were in the middle of being refurbished.

The property is clean and comfortable. As others have noted it is well worn. The property manager was responsive and friendly. The welcome refreshments were appreciated.

Location and parking included.

Under construction = white dust everywhere. Wifi did not function. Bathroom dirty with poor shower curtain. Some outlets not working. No A/C, but fans. No towels provided.

The host was friendly over WhatsApp but didn’t reply at all when we commented about the poor state of the property. The kitchen was well stocked with snacks and drinks.

The entrance was a building site with warning signs saying not to enter. There was no lift as it was part of the construction site. Five floors up with luggage was not pleasant in a heatwave. There was no air conditioning as advertised, only a few fans of you could find sockets that work. The apartment was not clean (mould in bathroom, squashed bugs on wall, floors not clean). Around 50% of electric sockets did not work or were unsafe to use. The balcony railings are rusted through and unsafe. The parking provided was ten minutes walk away and not big enough for our vw transporter. We had to use a neighbouring space which caused problems. The host offered no alternative. The apartment was in general disrepair - light fittings falling apart or broken, furniture with cigarette burns, stained curtains, blinds that did not work. WiFi did not work despite resetting.

It was an absolutely awful experience from start to finish. The entrance to the hotel was a construction site, making it difficult and unsafe to access the building. Once inside, things only got worse. The bathroom had mould growing in various places, and the shower door was broken, making it almost unusable. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The photos online were completely misleading and looked nothing like the reality of the place. Additionally, the doors to the outside were broken and had fallen off their hinges, which posed a serious security risk. None of the elevators were working, so we had to walk up to the fifth floor every time, which was extremely inconvenient. To top it all off, there was expired food left around the accommodation, which was both disgusting and unhygienic. Overall, this was an absolutely dreadful place to stay, and I would strongly advise others to avoid it at all costs.
