Apartment was very disappointing, and not honestly described. It's not 10 minutes from the beach, more like 20. Unless you're running. The flat was dark, dinghy, smelly and very noisy. Front rooms were opening up onto a park, which is nice - but the street was very noisy, constant deliveries to shops downstairs, police sirens, the whole lot. We were bitten by mosquitoes and small flies, I had new bite marks every night. No air conditioning, so nights were very hot and we had to keep the windows open - hence the flies were getting in. Back rooms have fake windows against a fake internal "patio", first time I saw something like that. The patio was dirty and smelly, so the windows had to be kept shut in the third bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Other flats had their boiler flutes pointed to the patio, so opening the windows would probably be dangerous. Kitchen equipment was very poor, I had to buy my own frying pan in order to have something safe to use. Knives chipped and not sharp, kitchen very cramped - cabinets full of appliances (like a huge water tank), so there was nowhere to store things. Interior lighting was very bright and 5000K (sharp blue light), we had to keep it off most of the time, it was like living in a brightly lit office. Living room sofa was very uncomfortable, cheap IKEA furniture everywhere. Beds were hard and of poor quality, mine was wobbling and I had to put tissues under one of the legs to stabilise it. Bed frames were so light that the beds were sliding all over the floor. In terms of storage like wardrobes, also very poor, no shelves - a lot of cabinets locked and inaccessible to the clients. The parking isn't 5 minutes away, it's 10, and getting in and out is very tricky in a large car. Triggering the gates is also quite tricky from the inside, other residents had to show us how to do it.

Great location, with some conveniences in the area (supermarket downstairs, cafe around the corner, and next to bus stop)

No ventilation. It was stuffy and opening all the windows didn’t help too much. The bathroom window opens out into a rubbish chute. The room at the front of the house was the hottest room - my kids (12 and 15) really struggled to stay cool. You are also required to supply your own toilet paper.
