Quiet area, lovely balcony and rooftop patio

The water went out a few times

The condo was clean and comfortable, and the hosts were responsive and kind. View from rooftop was lovely, and we appreciated the quiet location.

sliding glass doors didn't lock, which as two women traveling alone, we would have appreciated... keypad on front door was a bit challenging and didn't seem to always work properly

The place is very spacious and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. We were very pleased with the condo.

The unit was spacious, well equipped with kitchen appliances, pots/pans & dishes etc. great to have a washer & dryer

As lovely as the unit was, the location is a bit inconvenient for walking to town Center especially with a 14 month old baby

The view was nice. No jacuzzi. All three were broken No hot water ever

No water for my birthday. We had to boil water to wash dishes. No water for one whole day THIS PLACE SUCKS

Casa Marene is one of the nicest rental properties you will come across. Very comfortable and well equipped with everything being of high quality from the bedding to the kitchen equipment. The owner sent lots of information prior to the self check-in which made everything easy, and was very responsive to questions. This apartment is on the 3rd floor (of 4 in this block) and gets lots of sea breezes keeping it cool, though there is A/C if you need it. There's also a great roof terrace and nice pool in the garden.

The location is about a 20 minute walk along the beach from the centre of Puerto Morelos so you are going to want to have a car or other means of transport.

Wow, just wow. This place is paradise: spacious, excellent Internet, fans and A/C in every room, gourmet kitchen and bikes for rent on site. There's a beautiful pool on the ground floor and a hot tub on the roof where you can get wonderful ocean breezes even at the hottest time of day. And the hosts are gracious, accommodating, responsive and lovely. Meanwhile, Puerto Morelos is such a great town. SOmehow it has escaped the tourist influx and remains relatively undeveloped. During the summer months, it's empty. You have the place to yourself. Meanwhile, if you go to the other side of town, La Colonia, you can get a sense of the real Mexico. If nothing else, it's worth going to La Colonia for the restaurants, which are wonderful and much cheaper than than those on the tourist side. Thank you to the owners. It was such a memorable trip.

As others have noted, you are about 1.5 miles from town. It's actually not so far, but in the heat of the summer, it seems very long. We rented bikes, and that solved our problem. However, traveling to other towns and cities can be tricky. There's only one car rental place in town, and it's very expensive. They don't accept credit card insurance. Meanwhile, all the other rental car outfits are in Cancun. There are no buses running through Puerto Morelos right now. (This may change.) There are collectivos, vans, and they are very cheap, but we didn't feel safe taking them. Others say they are safe -- it's your call. We ended up taking taxis to Playa del Carmen and Tulum, which was expensive.
