Cabañas Dechi

Lovely place, lovely hosts! We enjoyed the cabañas and the surroundings, the tours and Charlie’s stories about his adventures! The family and staff were welcoming and accommodating.

The family and guides team are warm and welcoming, making you feel at home while offering amazing excursions—jungle hikes and cultural experience. Every moment was an adventure, always respectful of nature. If you’re looking for an authentic Amazonian escape, this is the place to be!

Beautiful property in nature with peace and quiet. Has it’s own small pond with a caiman and many piraracu fish. Owner organizes tours, if you desire. You’re even invited into the family’s home to have meals like your a part of the family.

The place is very nice, you have your own hut with private bathroom and balcony with a hammock facing a beautiful pond, where you can hear the famous Pirarucu fish jumping and see a baby cayman (you don't have to go further or buy a tour to see them). It is quite comfortable. I loved the hosts, Charlie, his wife and their children. They were all lovely, kind, helpful. Also, I loved that we could have genuine conversations with them, so you make a connection with the local people. They were also flexible to change my date and leave my luggage, when I went to stay the night within the jungle.

Nothing really, I loved it. The place is 10 mins walking from the town itself and it is part of the experience for me. I had a cabin baggage with wheels it was ok for me to carry it. But you should think twice if you have a heavy baggage or wheelchair, as the road is not flat everywhere.

Absolutly fantastic place! Owners are so kind, food is amazing, you can play with parrots, they will show you around in the junge, route to the town and they will help you in everything, including booking ferry ticket from Leticia. AMAZING wooden houses in the nature, mosquito protected, well equipped spottles clean bathrooms. Fantastic. Please, go ther and help local community in the jungle. Fast Wifi and good network recepotion. You will LOVE it!

- not for the faint of heart - you’ll hear all the sounds of the jungle at night! - good level of fitness needed for walking to and from town

They are kind and friendly. Had some ok talk with owner and other guests. Seems like he is very for socializing at the common area, so if you are looking for it it's great place. Not far from city but very chill and green. They have good Internet in common space (no signal at cabins).

Cabañas lack of care. The shower is terrible - one strong tiny water going, missing parts. No curtain makes it splash everywhere. Sink is equally bad - no way to wash hands without water splashing all over. Mosquitera had issues and I had to fix it to be functional - broken strings. The cabin has big infestation of cockroaches in the night. Walking and pooping everywhere on cabinet. Also missed feeling about their trustworthy. When checked it, they apparently didn't have change. After patiently waiting 5 days for it, I decided to ask for it at check out. Apparently no money in entire house. Owner is somewhere in the city. After all got my little change but the bad aftertaste stayed. It should be their priority if they didn't have at check in.

The host Charlie and Nazdi treat you like family and keep the property in amazing condition. The location is great and I was very happy with all the arrangements!

Amazing peaceful location. They upgraded us to our own little house overlooking the river, which was awesome. Hosts were very friendly. Highly recommend.

It is a short walk from town but was not a problem for us. There was no wi-fi that reached our cabin.
