Loved our stay at the property, definitely one of the most memorable stay we ever had. Location is the best, few minute from the Ipanema beach and across the road from the supermarket. Francisco is a great host and very helpful. The view from the apartment is absolutely stunning: the ocean, mountains, Sugarloaf, Christ the Redeemer. Waking up to this every morning was unbelievable. The building itself is full of character reminiscent of Europe with marble lobby, chandeliers and the old school elevators. Beautiful property with the old world grand interior and the antique 1800s furniture.

The bed is narrow and not very comfortable. Kitchen probably could do with a refresh.

"Outstanding views, stone’s throw from the beach and many lively restaurants"

The view… was just amazing. You have a beautiful view of dois hermoes and the beach from one side, Corcovado and as far as the sugar loaf from the other. A spectacular view over Rio. Very close to the beach, and to the metro, a nice supermarket just metres away, and many good restaurants within 5 minutes and even more just 10 minutes away. The owner Francisco is such a nice gentleman, very kind and nice to talk to.

The only two things which we didn’t like so much were the steps to the wonderful terrace (a bit to easy to make a misstep) and the small bathroom. A mirror in the living room (there is plenty of space) would be welcome.

Balconies/Terrasse on two floors.

Only a small double bed 160cm and for additionel guests a sofabed. Pity for such a fantastic place.

"Super location"

The location is super convenient for Ipanema Beach, 5 mins walk. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The rooftop terrace is a haven from the busy city. Francisco, the host is available for any questions you may have, and was very accommodating.
