The absolute perfect location. The view of the bay of Botafogo and Pao de Acucar is the best day to begin the day in Rio! We will surely come back.

Everything was perfect. We rent a car and Luis got us a place in the garage for the days we needed it!

The view is definitely the best part about this property.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This was the worst place I have ever stayed through booking.com. When I arrived after checking in, I discovered that the air conditioning and wifi weren’t working. When I messaged Luis he told me it would be several days to fix it, but instead of offering a discount or refunding my stay he just provided fans. It’s the middle of summer in Rio (definitely too hot to sleep in without a/c) and the apartment is on a busy street, let’s just say my first night I didn’t get any sleep. The second day I told him I couldn’t stay another night and would need a hotel room until the air conditioning was fixed. But Luis refused to provide a full refund for the night and instead would only give me 50% of one nights stay claiming he had lots of expenses and that it would be enough to cover a budget hotel. I paid over $150 a night and this is NOT a small expense for me, I thought it was more than fair to ask for a full refund of 1 night. This was an absolutely terrible way to start my travels and I ended up spending 2 full days having to fight with Luis rather than enjoy my vacation. Once the air conditioning and wifi finally worked the stay was overall fine. I would have given it 7 stars. However, the last straw for me was Luis’s lack of professionalism and honestly crooked business practices. After all of this, I would have thought the checkout would be the easiest part for me. However I didn’t realize until the morning I was checking out that Luis still had my $100 cash deposit he said would be returned after check out. Even though I texted him several times, he never told me if he would be coming to the apartment to return the cash. He later messaged me and said we could meet up to get the deposit, but in the end he suggested he would leave it with the doorman at his building instead for me to pick up the next day.
