Lapwing Cottage

Spacious in lovely countryside, good facilities.

No WiFi not that we really needed it.

The property looks really cosy and nice, perfect for our overnight trip and parking onsite. It’s very remote and down country lanes we found a nice pub up the road to have some food at.

Didn’t have the best nights sleep, bed a little hard, but I am a fussy sleeper! Cleanliness could have been a tad better, cobwebs in bathrooms, bedrooms etc, moths in bedroom. Bathroom door didn’t close properly again not major! Dont let this put you off I would come back again, close to Alton towers, 23mins drive. Perfect for an overnight stay!

It has all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay and not to far from Alton Towers.

The only thing that was an issue was no WiFi to stream films and couldn't get DVD player to work downstairs. Wasn't an issue for myself but kids missed it.

Perfect location for what we required, excellent property, super cute & private enough! Enjoyed having a whole house to ourselves, was great value for money! Would defo recommend a wee stay here, we wish we had longer.

Keys were in the door

I'm afraid I have to mark this stay down somewhat. Very pretty little cottage, well situated. Duvets were like cardboard (not soft and fluffy) didn't have any movement in them. I rather expected there to be some milk in the fridge as they had kindly left coffee, tea and sugar.

Great location close to Alton, easy to find and really lovely setting in the sunshine.
