Confortable homey feel with lots of personal touches. The fresh flowers, fresh bread, and various beverages were unexpected and sweet. Good location right off the city center between the Museum of the Inquisition (excellent) and the Fountain de Vila.

Dragging heavy suitcase up the steep cobblestone road after checking out. This is not the fault of the property at all, but it should be mentioned in case there are people with mobility issues.

Horrible, Humidity and cold. One of the rooms (not habitable because is closed whit a fence) has a big rock very wet and bad smell and cold is spread throughout the apartment. First night we could hardly rest. The heating is not effective until 48 hours later. Positive: very clean, location, details milk, juice, cake, water and wine, it is much appreciated. It would be highly recommended that the room that generates humidity and cold had a glass door to avoid this problem. I would only recommended it at summer months.

Beautiful old building & styled perfectly. Air worked well. Shower was excellent. Lovely building - water fountain 20 ft down hill - mice to sit at & have drinks or small picnic

Parking was a problem, could definitely be explained better in description. We wasted a good amount of time on it. Beds & linen seemed damp - however owners came & changed out linens. Was better 2nd night. Kitchen area is tiny, but again u can see that in photos. Not really intended for any more than toast & coffee or tea making

We loved our stay in Castelo de Vide, it is such a pretty little town with flowers everywhere. Our accommodation at Casa da Rua Nova was spacious, comfortable, and its location great. Thank you also, for all the extra treats you left for us which we enjoyed very much.

The lighting. There were plenty lamps but with shades that meant they didn't throw out much light unfortunately. And definitely not enough light to read by at night. We're not the first to mention this fact, nor will be the last I suspect.

This is a brilliant location for anyone who (like us) enjoys staying in the heart of a historic area. This apartment really has the wow factor with its high wooden ceilings, feature rocks and fabulous artwork. The main living area combines bedroom, lounge and dining room and it was wonderful waking up to light flooding into the apartment through the arched windows. Everything worked well.

I don't think there was anything we personally didn't like, but this apartment probably wouldn't be ideal for anyone with mobility problems as there are two flights of steep stairs at the entrance.

The accomodation is modern, new and comfortable. it has sufficient space, a good bed and a well equipped kitchen. Although it holds a 2 person bedroom there is space for two other guests.

The problem with the appartment is the lack of sound isolation. There is only a plank floor seperating the appartment from the upstairs neighbours. This means you hear them talking and walking and more…The first morning at 6 the couple upstairs woke me up by moving furniture around . The second night I was woken up at 01.30 at night by the sighing, panting, screamiing and grumbling of another couple.

The flat is located on the last floor of a small building in the old town of Castelo de Vide. It is spacious, nicely decorated, and well equipped (especially the kitchen). Very clean. The air conditioning is good. We loved the special attentions like the coffee and bottle of wine. We had no direct contact with the hosts, but the check-in and check-out process was smooth. Cosy location, perfect for a couple!

Payment by wire transfer was a little cumbersome. It was noisy one night with neighbours having a poolside party. Generally speaking noise insulation could be improved (we can hear people talking in the apartment downstairs). But all in all, we had a great time there!
