Charles Alexander Short Stay - Windmill House Apartments

We have been in four of the five apartments. They are beautiful, bright, clean, modern apartments and each one is laid out in a different way. The apartments have everything you need to self cater. Some have bigger beds than others and all have sofa beds. Windmill House is in a great location with the town centre shops around the corner and multiple takeaways nearby. Although the courtyard is small for parking, there is some on street parking and Sainsbury's do a good deal on parking and is only a short distance away. Great place for a weekend stay and we would definitely stay there again.

The shower cubicles were all quite small and most of the sofa beds were not very comfortable to sleep or sit on.

Fantastic facilities and great location.

Too much light bleed through the blinds on a morning, either better fitting blind or/and curtains, we stayed here last June and experienced the same issue and mentioned this in our review then. The shower screen leaked badly, probably a new seal would sort that issue. The door to apartment 3 rattles when Apartment 4 closed their door, too much play in the locking mechanism, had to jam a flip flop under the door to prevent the above. The main entrance door to the building sticks badly and has to be banged to aid its closing, not a problem throughout the day but in the early hours of the morning ( not sure why at 03:30 ? ) somebody must have been out or coming back and slammed the door, which woke me up. Sounds like I'm having a rant, but overall, I would definitely stay here again and have in the past, small issues to address. Thanks again for a great stay.

Clean, comfortable and well equipped

Lovely apartment. Clean and spacious enough for 2 people. Situated close to the shops and a short walk to the seafront.

I found the bed uncomfortable. Could feel the mattress springs, would benefit from a mattress topper. The sofa needs updating/restuffing. The bathroom could do with a shelf so you have somewhere to place your toiletries

Bright, clean, modern. Location.

Only one parking space for multiple guests. Couldn’t get the electric wall heaters to work.

Clean Beach was a 10min walk

Shower Thermostat wasn’t great. Went from cold to scorching hot quickly.

The apartment was lovely and clean and very comfortable close to town and th beach.
