Bundara - Idyllic Getaway in the Mountains

The location was perfect. Close to everything but also very private and quiet. I really enjoyed being surrounded by the gardens and birds. The owners made us feel right at home by being very welcoming and helpful. Would be more than happy to stay again.

I would have loved a larger outdoor setting with more comfortable chairs on the verandah. If 3 or more people were staying, the one bathroom may have been a problem, but it was fine for 2. The lounge suite was comfortable but very low.

It's a tranquil & spacious property, just a short walk to the main street w/lots of restos & shops. We were warmly treated with care by our friendly host. Beautiful garden & surrounds. A gem of a place.

Beautiful gardens and convenient location, walkable to cafes and restaurants. Large bedrooms and large comfortable living room, with outdoor table on the deck overlooking the gardens. Hosts are very, very friendly and easy to communicate with, comprehensive recommendations booklet provided and Sheila even made sure to knock and remind us the local markets were on on the Sunday morning :)

Could've been made clearer in the listing that the guest apartment shares a wall with the main house - with internal (locked) doors right onto the bathroom and kitchen area. You can hear quite a lot these points, even just conversations, just made us self conscious that we were being too loud all the time if sound bleeds through that easily. Just something for guests to be mindful of if having their own space and privacy is a main concern.

Beautiful spot. Super friendly. Quiet and lovely. Bedroom sizes were great. Lounge was great. Shower and bathroom were fabulous.

Kitchen is better suited to folks who like to eat out more than us. Cooking everything on site was a challenge of space. Our needs were greater than most people’s in this area.
