Hadassa Apartment Simcha

The apartment was big, comfortable and cozy. It had 3 bedrooms plus 2 additional single beds on 1st floor. The morning view to the farms was refreshing with horses grazing. There was a dedicated parking place for car. The apartment itself was well equipped with all necessary devices, crockery and cutlery.

The apartment had only one bathroom for a place that accommodates larger group of people. The neighbours are very sound sensitive also during day time which becomes a challenge if you are traveling with younger kids.

Location was great. The apartment is very spacious and has all the facilities you need if they would work but they do not.

AVOID AVOID AVOID booking this place. We were returning for the second time to this apartment after a great stay last year. This apartment has gone down in quality. There were plenty of issues with our stay: This sink was not working good and got eventually completely blocked on our last day. As a result the dishwasher stopped working. We had to spend a lot of time cleaning the sink manually at midnight on our holiday to ensure the water does not overflow in the kitchen. The hosts were notified that we can't clean the apartment and dishes because of no running water as we have run out of all cleaning clothes trying to stop the water overflowing from the sink in the middle of the night. While the hosts initially asked us to not worry about anything and they will take care of it after we check out. After check out they blamed us for blocking the sink by pouring oil or coffee (the sink was already working 20% when we arrived and we did not do those things), tried to get extra money from us for not cleaning and leaving the kitchen as is. Blamed us that the apartment was not clean enough. Asked us for extra money for using towels that were there inside the apartment (not under lock and key) just lying there. Other issues included a fuse blowing out of nowhere a couple of times during our stay (without plugging any of our own equipment). The fridge stopped working and we lost a lot of produce.

The apartment was really big and we had everything we needed. It was in a good location to explore Bernese Oberland and we had a private parking space.

The apartment is up two flights of stairs and we did not find this detail easily in the description. For people with limited mobility, this can be a challenge.

Fantastic apartment for our family of six - very comfortable and well laid out with a great dining table, comfortable large sofa and three separate double or triple bedrooms with an additional two beds on a mezzanine. Kitchen was well stocked, as was the bathroom (with washing machine and dryer). All facilities were recently renovated.
