Characterful house in the jewish quarter - a well-kept ancient part of town. Close to the castle and the town´s main center, park and nice restaurants, as well as outdoor public parking with no meters. Be aware that streets are narrow and steep, but lovely. Small open area kitchen and loungeis enough for the needs of 4 for a couple of days. Allows dogs which for us was a requirement. The host was attentive and available, with some great tips to enjoy the area and even left us a basket of treats like a goodie basket of local produce (fruit, break, jams, cake, etc.). Castelo de Vide itself has received a lot of investment in urban renewal of the old areas, and looks and feels better and more enjoyable than it did only a few years ago.

Heating up the apartment took quite a while, so we weren´t too comfortable to sleep the first night, as we arrived late in the evening. The bathroom light is a white cold bulb that feels quite unwelcoming. Second bedroom a little too tight.

Absolutely perfect. Laura and Eduardo were the best hosts we had in a long time. Even before we arrived, we already had received clear instructions on how to get to the house. We were greeted by Laura, who was extremely helpful, and who had left a lovely basket with regional products, which we surely loved. We had an apartment on a mid floor, and we have to say that the attention to details and cleanliness was like we haven’t seen before. Indeed this accommodation is located on a hill which might be tricky for people with lower mobility, but it’s not nearly as bad as some people had mentioned before. We loved our stay there, both for the apartment and for the hosts. We will surely be back soon.

Nothing we can think of. It is an old house of course, but it’s beautifully refurbished. There are some stairs, and it might be better to leave the car in the city centre and walk about 3 minutes to the apartment.

Eduardo’a place is located right next to the castle in the historic area. It is a 2 minute walk tothe main square with many restaurants. Eduardo was very responsive answering our quesstions beforw& during our stay.

Nothing unpleasant. It is up 2 flights of stairs so mobility issues would be a problem. We did not have any.

cosy apartment in the heart of the most characterful part of Castelo de Vide. The fantastic hosts gave us lots of great recommendations and had a real love of the area. Would definitely stay again!
