3 Bedroom Apartment at La Joya Hotel Zone

It was very homie liked the layout of property

Dry broke but wasn’t a big deal they were fast acting to come and repair

Quiet. Condo was spacious. Nice open floor plan. Very comfortable beds. A/C works awesome. Best A/C compared to any other places I’ve stayed. From the master balcony we got to see a few iguanas sun bathing and sleeping. Equipped with all the essentials. Full kitchen.

Says ocean view. I would have to say its the only thing I was really upset about.

Location was alright, there are supermarkets and some nice restaurants nearby. Good water in the shower. Wifi is decently fast, kitchen has a nice fridge and water cooler thing. Plenty of taxis nearby and the parking garage is spacious and easy to figure out. The pool is nice too. Overall it's an OK apartment if you're just looking for a place to sleep. The building is near the highway, but in a sidestreet which eliminates traffic and party noise because not much people pass by.

Overall the place is not bad but there are a ton of small things that are not-quite-right. Especially for how much this place costs... The security/doorman was not at the front desk area most of the times we passed through there. We didn't need him during our few days there, so whatever. But on arrival him being there is important of-course as he needs to let you in. He wasn't there and didn't reply to whatsapp. Frustrating... Eventually we found another employee, Tony, who was very professional and quick to try and help. He let us in and explained how things probably worked and found whoever was supposed to open the door for us who then took over and 'checked us in'. The apartment needs maintenance/fixing and a good cleaning. Plain and simple. Shower/tap knobs are loose or missing. The sink in the smaller bathroom leaks. Most furniture is stained and looks dirty because of it. Washer/Dryer doesn't heat up or something and thus doesn't dry laundry. Things that were broken at some point were fixed, but looked cheaply done so. Which was just ugly - Most notably the painted/rusty cooker and bathroom lights. None of the sliding doors close/lock properly letting in outside noise (and AC cold out). Most of the noice comes from the hotel across the street - A constant stream of delivery trucks and busses coming and going. Not too loud, but you've very aware of it when they stand with idling engines right below the balcony for hours at a time. Also at 1am and 7am... There are no curtains other than mostly see-through roller blinds and no wall outlets that we could find in the smaller bedrooms - Which is annoying if you want to charge it next to the bed. All small things and niggles, and overall our stay was fine. But because there are so many quirks... Not coming back.

The convenience to be around everything local including shopping and entertainment. Security, privacy and parking

Traffic noise at night would be loud
