Studio avec GRANDE PISCINE, PLAGE Vanille Caraïbes

The location is very nice, close to some nice restaurants and you have access to the beach and the swimming pool. The bathroom was really nice, as was the bed.

The kitchen is quite small and the light is based on a sensor which is in a place that it turns off when you cook. The studio is on a complex with many other studio’s and some nights it was pretty noisy.

The correct property name was not on the Bookings receipt or confirmation. The location was for an old warehouse. Could not find the property. Very frustrated trying to find it. Ended up staying at another hotel the first night. We only found it the next day by checking various hotels and saw that the beach matched the photos in the description. No way to talk to anyone.

We didn’t get breakfast.

The outdoor space was meager.

The studio was very well equipped to be able to self cater if you wish to. It had a very big fridge, electric hob, kettle, toaster etc. It did look exactly like the photo's and we enjoyed staying there. The hosts were very responsive in all communications, although we did not meet them. We met another lady to pick up the keys and hand them back at the end of the holiday who was very pleasant and helpful. On-site there is a beach bar restaurant that has shorter opening hours certain days of the week, there is a pool and a small private beach. It was perfect for what we wanted at the end of our two weeks away as we just relaxed for the last few days rather than driving all over the island as we had been doing. The service in the beach bar was excellent, the food was amazing and it was always busy for lunch and dinner services. They also do paninis and waffles when the kitchen is not open to serve main meals. Outside of the hotel, a few hundred yards to the right there are 4 or 5 restaurants, we ate in 3 of them, all were very good. We loved 'Le Bistrot Exotic' for it's food, it's service and it's general vibe.

The location was further out of Saint Francois than I expected, so we didn't go into town as it was too far to walk for dinner along dark roads. It is obvious that at one stage the complex was a very lovely hotel and appears to now be holiday homes. It is a shame the main buildings are in disrepair and it would be great to see if anything plans to be done to renovate and re-introduce some of the other services that were clearly there before. One other item to note, there is very little storage space for clothes, so lived out of the suitcase. Some hanging space in the bathroom behind a curtain, which was fine, but a few drawers would be great.
