Villa Viola

Ogni singolo dettaglio all'interno ed all'esterno della casa è pensato per far sentire accolto e coccolato chi ha la fortuna di venirci. La signora Carla è semplicemente straordinaria, unisce il piacere di ospitare ad un livello di professionalità introvabile. Siamo rimasti tutti estasiati dal suo gusto nell'arredamento della casa, dalla pulizia e dalla presenza di ogni cosa potessimo desiderare. Ha un'approfondita conoscenza della zona ed affidandosi a Lei si può stare tranquilli. E' stata il nostro vero angelo. Non ricordo di essermi trovata così bene in altri posti. Consiglio vivamente di organizzare una permanenza in questa meravigliosa struttura.

We had a great stay at Villa Viola with our 2 dogs. Just around the corner are several nice places to eat and drink something. Pienza, Arezzo and Montepulciano are also not far away from here. The host Carla is very helpful and fun to talk to, the outside terrace is really nice where you can sit in the surrounding of Villa Viola’s beautiful flowers :-)

Very homely and Carla is a wonderful and attentive host. The apartment has everything you need for a few days in a beautiful area. Also great there is parking right outside

The property was charming, very clean and in a great location. Restaurants around the corner and in between many scenic towns. Carla was welcoming and provided everything we required for a comfortable stay.

Great location, easy to use as a homebase to travel around Tuscany. Our group had 2 cars, there was room to park both of them. The host was fantastic. Chianciano Terme had enough amenities to make our trip more comfortable: a grocery store a 5 minute walk away, a coffee bar 2 minutes away. I would recommend this apartment for an extended stay in Tuscany.

The unit I was taken to was not the unit I booked. It was DARK CRAMPED and TINY and had a different name than on my confirmation. I booked "Villa Viola" but was taken to "Minu". Minu did not have a living room, no washing machine and there was no parking, which was all confirmed in my reservation. The unit was essentially a hallway. When you enter the front door you land in the tiny kitchen. When you take one step out of the kitchen you are in tiny cramped first bedroom. One step out of that room, you have a door to the bathroom on the left and a door to the second bedroom right. To get to the kitchen from bedroom two, you have to walk back through bedroom one. It was so bad we decided to not stay. "Villa Viola" was across the hall but the property owner said someone else was staying there. Beware if you book that you may not get what you see on the website and what is confirmed in your reservation! The property owner did not honour my reservation and then kept my money. The property owner is treating this as if I cancelled the booking when in fact she did not honour it.

Host/owner-Carla is very accommodating and kind, she showed us where to eat nearby (few steps from the house) and what to see around;, location-close to restaurants and supermarket (by foot, really no need to drive, unless you went grocery shopping with lots of stuff you probably want to drive just so you dont have to carry all your heavy groceries), also close to Val d'orcia (we went to Penza and Montepulciano about 30 to 40min beautiful drive that you wouldnt mind even if you drive 1 hr more), we rented a car at Chiusi Train station and the house is about 25mins drive (again beautiful drive if you do the scenic route) and from Chiusi Train taxi (outside the train) cost around 43 euro (scenic route not scenic around 30 euro or maybe 35 cant remember well); cleanliness of the house-spotless, i will say it again -spotless :), all basic necessities are provided (even beyond your basics on some, extra generous on towels)-kitchen towels, cooking oil, saran wrap,coffee,milk, sugar, salt, to name some, full kitchen (yes it has oven which we used to warm the pizzas) ; all rooms have tv(you can even log on to your own netflix); alarm system, washer (no dryer but clothes will get dry if you wash ahead of time of clothing use); hot water in the shower; 3 AC (living room and 2 bedrooms), total of 4 bedrooms so we came during hot weather and upstairs being only 2 rooms with AC (electric fan provided at the 2 bedrooms w/o AC ) what we did was turn on the electric fan at the rooms w/o AC and open all doors of the 4 bedrooms and close the main door or the door going downstairs in that way AC is distributed and it works for us , i mean yes the 2 bedrooms did not get as nice as the other 2 with AC but with the help of the fan it is ok meaning not too hot (alternatively just stay in the 2 bedrooms with AC if you can since these 2 are quite big bedrooms).

Cant really think of what I didn't like , but if I had to stay one maybe the stairs, so if you have heavy big luggage like what we had, its very challenging, you need two people to carry it to the house. Just want to mention this-parking-its not that I dont like it, but i wanted to mention it to help others-parking is free (designated spot) about 30m from the house (really not far, opposite to the Coop supermarket) but no parking on Fri, Sat and Sun (from 19:30 cant remember the exact duration but starts 19:30). We were not affected as we needed to return the car by Friday 18:00, also I saw lots of parking on the streets not sure if those are reserved or paid, so if you needed to park on weekends, you probably want to arrange it with Carla , I'm sure she has alternatives, like I said we were not affected by the restrictions so I didnt ask.

Very cozy place in the old town. Good starting position for every trip around Tuscany. Carla is the best host. "Viola" is really well equiped, 3 spacy bedrooms, and everything you need in them. Kitchen with every single item you need and more, 2 bathrooms with clean towels (lot of them), and living room. Very nicely arranged, Carla tought of everything you might need. Spirit of Tuscany in your apartment.

Our stay at Villa Viola was absolutely perfect! The location was unbeatable, just steps away from the main sights and vibrant cafes. This rental is perfect for anyone seeking a comfortable and central location to explore Chianciano and Tuscany. I highly recommend it!
