CAThe owner and the lady responsible on site were fantastic. Answered all of our requests fast and resolved all issues. Condo was clean and location is just the best in PA. However, the condo equipement needs love and care. No hot water in the kitchen, no hot water in the guest shower (but cold water was not that cold so we could take a decent shower anyway). Towels and some of the dishes, pots and pans need replacement. Sofa in the living room definitely needs to be cleaned. No BBQ outside (at the price we paid, it would be fair to expect a BBQ). The hammock on one of the balcony can simply be taken down as old and impossible to use (so sad, in such a nice set up!) While we had a good time, the rental price was too expensive for the quality of the installation.
CAWe have visited Chac Hal Al many times and stayed for a total of over 30 weeks over 5 yrs and the propery location is great.
This was by far, the absolute worst experience we have had with a Booking.com rental in our entire time travelling around the world these last 5 yrs. Usually we are very satisfied with the value of properties on Booking.com and like the terms and conditions for their service. Booking.com should review this property to see if it is fit to be on their platform as it is not in keeping with their standards or other listings. The property was filthy, cochroaches under beds, in drawers. The unit was in disrepair, thick scum on taps and showers, internet didn't work on arrival, TV took 4 days to be fixed, black Mold on the ceiling, absoulute minimum of kitchen dishes, utensils, or supplies. All wine glasses were chipped. The property manager was unresponsive for days. The owner is in arrears with the condo maintenance fees, the owner contact number is disconnected, AC didn't work in the master bedroom, clothes dryer didn't work... the list is very long. Booking.com did refund us one night for the terrible experience which we think was proper, and we hope they can recoup it from the owner.

I’m not sure if it’s the property management or the owners but supplies are extremely limited. That includes not having enough paper products, kitchen supplies and additional towels. Those might be considered small items but they’re extremely important for guests. There were no instructions on how to use the television and washer/dryer…ugh! Overall, attention to detail doesn’t exist and it should because this apartment is in a beautiful complex and the scenery is perfect.
