ALTIUM Cabanas

The apartment is very spacious and well-equipped for a short or long stay, with thoughtful touches that make it feel like home. There’s a large balcony, everything you need in the kitchen (including gorgeous wine glasses!), and parking is very easy. I really liked having a bathtub, though I had to request a drain stopper to use it. The complex is (mostly) quiet and safe, and it’s well-located a short drive to Cabanas waterfront or Tavira. Checkin instructions were clear and the host was very responsive to questions. The area is relaxed and lovely, I really enjoyed my stay.

There were a few “odd” things, like a strange odor (a stale chalk/caulk smell, hard to describe) that didn’t go away even when aired out. The tiled floors had a damp residue that persisted throughout my 4-night stay (outdoor tiles were not similarly damp so it’s not moisture from the air)—bring slippers ;) Rugs or carpet would be helpful both for sound (the living room echoes) and comfort (tiles are cold and damp). Although strict instructions were communicated about quiet hours, there was a loud party in the apartment above me one night until very late.

Knifes could be sharper ;) Extra fuel for the lighter (gas oven)

It was very clean! The size of the apartment is great for a couple. Loved that it had a washing machine.

The bed is a bit too small for two adults.
