The location

The owner apparently had a miscommunication with booking.com and never showed up to give us the house. The house looked abandonned, according to neighbours nobody was there for months. Miscommunications happen, but I messaged the property several times and tried to call the owner for weeks, picked up once requesting for a call back later and only picked up the phone on the day of my arrival. The gentleman wasn’t understanding or helpful at all. Thankfully found another house which seemed impossible at the time. All in all, very bad experience.

We arrived at Villa Nimori in Lipno at 15:00, but the house was not ready for our arrival. There was no electricity because the owner had not paid for it for the last three weeks. The house was not cleaned, the grass in the yard was not mown. The house itself looked abandoned and unkempt. There was a huge cart with dirty laundry and garbage in the garage. We tried to call the owner of the house, but he did not answer any of our calls. Then we called Booking, where they promised to look into the situation and help. We waited for an hour, but no one from Booking called us again. We were with three children and naturally could not stay there. We had to urgently look for another place to stay for 7 people. Unfortunately, Booking did not help us in this situation. We found another house, but it was more expensive. Unfortunately, I did not have 2100 euros in my account, so we had to ask my friend's mother to pay the rent for this house. Instead of a good rest we got stress, disappointment and a lot of lost time and money. We drove for more than five and a half hours, only to spend another three hours looking for a house to live in and money to pay for it.
