Long Beach Apartamento AL

We liked the two bedrooms, the kitchen well stocked with equipment for cooking, and a nice TV room. It's much better than renting a room in a hotel for a mom and adult daughter.

The accommodation needs a deep clean. The tile grout has pink stains/mold everywhere. The surfaces were dusty/dirty, and there was a big lack of items that were mentioned in the description to be supplied. There were only two bath and hand towels for 9 nights. I had to call for delivery of two more. There is no tub for bathing (for those that need that). The add mentioned tub, and there is not one. 3 small rolls of toilet paper supplied, not enough for 9 days (expect a starter package). They say they supply toilet paper and some toiletries, but it is not the case. Just hand wash and a used bottle of something in the shower. I was smart to bring kleenex, two large costco toilet paper rolls, and all my toiletries as I expected this ( the cost of these products in Terceira is high). The bedding is on its last legs. My fitted sheet had little balls in the cotton from wear. The mattress needed a better mattress cover that fitted well over the mattress (during the night it slipped to one side).....gross!! The shower drain drained very slowly. I asked for them to fix that, and they did not. I think they told me it was that way, but I think a good liquid drano cleaning was in order. Be prepared for a very slow drain. Wear flip flops in showers! Like I said, the place needed a deep clean, attention to detail, and adjustment to their description. This is a 3 star. Finally, parking is on the street, so practice your parallel parking. It does have great privacy, quick response by owner, priced accordingly well as compared to hotels, very close to beach, and wonderful restaurants. Overall, if you are not fussy, this is a great deal and provides a lot more flexibility than a hotel room for two. One final note the washer and dryer is one unit. It was impossible to fully dry clothes, but you can hang clothing on a provided rack. Each bedroom and sitting area has its own cooling/heating unit. This was very nice and modern.
