The Nook - A stylish apartment with garden, near the beach

Quiet location within 15 minutes walk to town centre. Handy garden for our dog. Good parking available outside property. Overall the cottage was comfortable and homely.

Bed was a little firm for our taste.

Location was ideal for us as we were able to complete lots of walks from the door as well as being close to Berwick town centre.

It was noisy during the morning and evening as there is a young family with children directly above in another apartment! Constant running on floorboards and spoilt our enjoyment of our stay! Went on from 06.30-0800 mornings and 18.30- 20.30 evenings. On our first day I contacted the owner asking for more blankets for the double bed as I have medical condition which means that I get cold very easily and the current bedding of one sheet, one throw and a thin duvet was inadequate. This request refused by the owner who advised leaving the heating on all night which was unacceptable as the boiler was in the bedroom and very noisy so to have it on all night would have adversely affected sleep. She also suggested taking throws from the single beds in the other bedroom! I did and they were insufficient so I had to buy a new duvet for my stay which is unacceptable!

The apartment was very comfortable and had everything you needed. It was about a 15 minutes walk across the bridge to Berwick itself. Asda was literally a 3 minute walk. Parking on street but no problem getting a spot. Highlights - walking around the town walls, the curfew pub and the barrels inn, bear claw brewery ( only open sat afternoons) in Spittal, a lovely walk around St Abbs head ( nature reserve).

Gorgeous apartment, everything we needed. Close to beach and centre.

Very long instruction message for the apartment, felt a bit like a headmistress. We understand not everyone is respectful at times, but we've never had this in depth instruction before but always respected where we stayed.
