Enjoyed 4 nights in this great small home, location was excellent overlooking lively Jardim do Morro, easy walk across bridge to Porto city (or Metro). House facilities were also great, spacious for 2, two bedrooms to choose from(or use both!). Joào was on hand when/if needed. We Highly recommend.

Great location, very clean & well equipped.

The apartment had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The beds were excellent; the lounge seating was comfortable; towels were excellent and air conditioning a bonus, though not always necessary. This was a good apartment, temperature-wise. The separate dining room was a bonus. There was no oven, but there were a good hob, toaster, coffee machine and a microwave, which was totally sufficient. There were a washing machine and facilities for both indoor and outdoor clothes drying. We didn't use them, but could have. The neighbours were quiet. Had we wished, there was a small balcony on one bedroom and a small sitting area outside the front door. A good small supermarket at the end of the road was a real boon as we ate in most nights. There were also various food outlets there. We were walking distance from the centre of Porto with so much to do around us that we did not need to buy a transport card. The metro was about 100m walk across the gardens if we wanted to go further afield. We were also walking distance from the port cellars, many of which were visible from the kitchen window. As seniors, we were able to go to Braga on the train for only 4 euros return, including 50 cents for the railcard, which was reloadable. To go to Pinhao on the train, for seniors, was only 11 euros and 80 cents return. Exploring was eminently possible. Although I make a slightly negative comment in the 'didn't like' section, I would stay here again because I know about the gardens and their popularity. The advantages of an excellent apartment, in an excellent location, with a very responsive host, outweigh the possibility of some background noise. Also, younger people would probably go out and join in at night and enjoy the music. Came time to go home, a taxi to the airport for 4 people, booked through booking.com, was only £22 and made life so simple! We had a brilliant time in Porto and the apartment/host played a large part in that.

I wouldn't say didn't like, but was occasionally a nuisance. The apartment looks out over the Jardim de Morro, where everyone goes to watch the sunset. We were prepared for large numbers of people and associated noise levels, but not for the pervasive beat of the various musical performers which, being too far away for the tune to be heard, could be annoying. However, music is a matter of taste and some was good. Most nights the music stopped by or before 9.30 as most folks went home and it wasn't always annoyingly loud. Had we had the television on, we would probably not have noticed it, but we tended to sit and converse over dinner. One night there were numbers of drunken people and motor cyclists making noise up to 4 a.m. but the next night was perfect as police were present and behaviour was much different. A very effective and reassuring response.

Great location, very clean. Perfect for our visit to Portugal.

The location was excellent opposite a park where you can see the sunset and the metro was 2 minutes away. Few cafes and s supermarket within two mins of the accommodation.

The steep hills to walk to the apartment

Fantastic apartment right near the Luis I Bridge, excellent for walking to all the main sites. 30sec walk to the amazing sunset view over Douro river. Well furnished with everything you need to cook and spacious for the central location. Easy self check in and great value. Excellent communication from the owners who we happened to bump into in the street! Would stay here again :)
