Samsuria Beach Penthouse Kuantan

Our last stay at Samsuria was in July and we were so blown away by the serenity as well as the tastefully furnished 1 bedroom unit, that we vouched to return again. And 3 months later, we booked a night's stay in the penthouse unit to accomodate us and some friends. The penthouse is a 3 bedroom unit that is comfortable, clean, spacious fully air conditioned & spoils you with a very breathtaking view of the ocean & sunset. It could easily and comfortable sleep 6 to 8 adults, or any average family unit. Staying in the penthouse also came with the perks of a sheltered parking spot. Each of the 3 rooms came with its own en suite bathroom while 2 of the bathroom spots a bathtub with a view. Each room was tastefully furnished with all the creature comfort and more. The living room was a great place to lounge and relax but you can expect to spend a lot more time on the huge balcony while soaking in the sunset views. Everyone enjoyed the penthouse and decided it would be more comfortable to pack dinner back than to dine out. The large dining room was more than sufficient to accomodate all of us. The next morning, we walked to the beach which was mere seconds away from the property. Beautiful & breezy beach that is great for families with children. There is also a beach cafe that offers drinks, meals & also fuss-free snacks. Overall, sleep was fantastic and everyone had a great time. Having everyone housed in a penthouse rather than everyone in individual apartment units, just made the stay more memorable. We are already planning our next stay & should be back again very soon.

The location, right on the beach. Not a swimmable beach this time of year ( rainy season) don’t know about other times of year. Beautiful swimming pool, looked great and was exceptionally clean.

Not what I expected for the price. Appliances in kitchen extremely old and some inoperable. Staff kept it clean for what they have to work with. All faucets and metal in bathrooms in bad shape and in one case fell out of the wall. Water leaks in some bathrooms. Mirrors- wiped with a wet rag. Towels few and old, extremely over used. Rust was evident in many places, exterior. No amenities, assumed there would be a washing machine in the apartment complex, nope. Staff always seemed busy and were very pleasant. Greeting was fine, we came in early and were allowed in the room …”go down that way, end of hall. Key in black box, a less than 1” piece of paper with a code for the box was given. Asked for WiFi code and got another 1” little piece of paper. One Tv didn’t work, the other had trouble. We had no car so had to walk a bit for food as there is a beach restaurant but I seriously question the sanitary conditions and food processing. That supposed restaurant is not part of the apartment complex.Team offered to drive us which was most kind.

just the cleanliness of the floor with foot steps ( i think previously stayed customer might had a walk from beach) as well toilet need to be a bit cleaner. Other than that ! it was a great stay. hard to get grab services for transportation but the lobby person was too good to help us.
