Owner was waiting for us on site and allowed us early access.

Cleanliness, the living room needed vacuuming and we found food that had been dropped under the coffee table.

The location on the Quayside is fabulous. The top floor apartment 4 was huge and an ideal party pad. Decorated in a quirky shabby chic boutique style. Its a grade 2 listed building so no replacement windows. Contained everything needed. Could use instructions for fireplace and screen in downstairs bathroom.

The entrance doorway is very shabby mainly because its used as a smoking hovel by staff from nearby restaurants & bars. Lots of debris litter the doorway.

Dave is a terrific host. He not only helped carry our baggage up the stairs, he even provided us with free ice and beers--now that's a mensch. The flat is really lovely, with huge windows with a superb bridge and street view from the living/dining area. It is extremely gracious for sitting, eating, etc. The location is stellar--close enough to centre to be comfortable (or an easy bus ride up the hill if one feels disinclined towards the arduous climb...) and also basically on the quayside. Not too far even from Baltic, one of my favourite places. Near MANY excellent restaurants...with a convenience store just downstairs.

I was slightly jarred by the several windows which were painted/glued shut, including the only window in one of the bedrooms. Now there are some windows which may be opened, but the bedrooms were almost hot during a stay where the high was 22.5--I think they would be very hot at temps which were even a few degrees higher. Also, because of the fire door arrangement, no real through ventilation is possible in the bedrooms. Comfort of the beds was also less than ideal. However, Dave's goodwill and generosity, as well as the wonderful views, are most important.

Clean and amazing shower

Wifi doesn’t reach the whole apartment, only in the living room. Apartment is not really ideal for those with a lot of suitcases, as it’s located upstairs.

Last minute booking made and host got in touch within 10 minutes, checked in within an hour or so! A great person who met us at the flat where we fully enjoyed our stay! Our trip was more work orientated, but the flat is ideal for bigger groups and is perfectly located.
