Haus Kraus

location is really very good for the visiters who comes by train. Owner lives just upstairs, very friendly, free drinks in the fridge! hiking ways are just starts at the corner. I can see from the street where the winter ski hill is. I have walked to the neigher village in Czech, was also a interesting experience.

there are no supermarket or shops at that town, only restaurants. i have to walk 3 KM to Czech. has nothing to do with the Hotel. just for people to know.

Nice well equipped apartment behind the building on the road. Owner left key in key locker with code. Stopover on the Goldstein trail.

No grocery shop in village. Limited items across border at duty free shop.

It was even better than in pictures

The apartment is over complete with everything one needs for a short stay. The bathroom is small, but everything is there, even a rainshower shower. Balkony to sit on in the morning or afternoon. We were met by the owner on arrival and handed the keys, but there is a keysafe as well. The house is very near the woods and the Czech border and train station, good for walks. Area great. Lovely level walk by the river Regen nearby. Everything is very quiet and restful. Fresh rolls to be had in a nearby shop. We enjoyed our stay.

The beds were a bit too soft for me, so I slept on the sofa, which was fine. But this is my personal taste and other visitors may prefer softer mattresses.

This is a fantastic place within easy walking distance to the station, Czech border, railway museum and several good places to eat and drink the local beer. Second time I have stayed here. Was in a different appartment to last time but just as good. Clean, spacious and great communication with the owner. Very highly recommend Haus Kraus and I'll certainly visit again.
