Oberon River View Apartment

The apartment was very spacious and well turned out with modern conveniences. It seems every aspect was 'top-shelf', from the toaster and water kettle, dimmer lighting in every room, big streaming TV, great Wifi, security, clothes washer and drier, and large collection of DVDs. The breakfast nook overlooks the village and the Windrush river where you can watch the ducks while you eat. While breakfast was not included, there were scones with clotted cream, a loaf of bread, butter and other essentials included in the kitchen that are not usually provided. Plenty of Nespresso capsules, tea and fully stocked kitchen. In the city center, close to everything, and to the bus stop where you can easily visit other Cotswald standouts such Bibury, Stow on the Wold, Moorton on Marsh and you can have a nice walk to Upper and Lower Slaughter. We were basically blown away by the value - I would be surprised if you can find a better place in Bourton on the Water. The hosts were helpful, friendly and gracious and run the Cotwolds Perfumery on the lower level.

What's not to like? Hard to find fault with this lovely place. If I had to say anything, and it did not matter to us but know that it is on the second floor and there is no elevator.

Found the place easily and parked up to get the keys from the shop below the apartment. Staff in the shop were very friendly and took us upstairs where they gave us a tour of the apartment. We then unpacked the car and the holiday began. The apartment is absolutely fantastic. Spacious, top-end comfort, exceptionally clean and tidy. And so central to the main part of the village. We loved every minute of our stay.

Parking is a bit awkward upon first arrival. You have to try to find a parking space outside the shop/ apartment, and it is pot luck if you get one. It is also tight and very busy in and around the few parking bays that are there. Once we were settled, we managed to use the free parking space provided at the back of the apartment.

Apartment was fantastic, clean, bed comfy, location ideal, staff in the shop downstairs very friendly & helpful. Very large bathroom with bath, large shower, bathrobes, under floor heating. Everything you needed in a kitchen, all equipment high end. Welcome pack of food lovely touch & afternoon tea on arrival very much appreciated. Lots of extra gadget... TV,music,light switches, coffee machine.

Perfect location, spotlessly clean, lovely welcome pack of basics ie milk bread eggs scones and butter, Very co,for table furnishings, bath and shower, every gadget you could think of. Highly recommended
