Nothing really. Very disappointing.

This accommodation should be decommissioned or condemned!! Absolute disgrace this was being offered out through booking.com. We tried a switch to put a heater on and it tripped the electric. The kitchen was shabby and falling apart. There was a huge mirror just leaning against the wall in the hall. No bedside lamp in one bedroom and lamp in other didn't work. Net curtains on living area stained with whatever and there was a large brown clump of some unidentified substance on them. Bedding was cheap, very thin duvet. Cold and only 2 tiny oil filled radiators present. They actually worked. We moved accommodation but not before we both had "bites". I'm not finished......to access the property was passed large bins overflowing with rubbish. The metal stairs were disgusting outside and once inside the carpeted stairs leading to the apartment were dirty and stained. We arrived.....worried.....and the code did not work. Phoned to be informed it had been changed and we hadn't been given it. The upside.....the agent offered to move us to decent alternative accommodation which made our stay much more pleasurable. This property should not be let out. Was to accommodate 6 people. This would be awful. £250 deposit requested which I queried. We didn't have to pay it. I wonder when damage happened previously, I'm guessing the deposit did NOT go to repairing. There is really nothing left to say.

Tony, the owner of the apartment in Newcastle, was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, he made sure everything was sorted and even went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The place was spotless, exactly as described, and he was always just a message away if we needed anything. Couldn’t have asked for a better host

close to the station in central location. bathroom was fine.

The flat felt like student accommodation. Everything was very poor quality apart from the bathroom which was fine. Windows let in terrible draft. No central heating just a couple of old plug in electric radiators. Photos made it look like nice modern apartment but it was actually in a building over shops with a jumble of flats and very run down dirty communal areas. Worst was the access - down a dark side alley which didn't feel safe through a gate into a courtyard full of rubbish and up lots of steps which stank. None of this info was in the description. The host was helpful in the lead up to our arrival but I do think the description of the flat was inaccurate.

The location is great- right in the city centre, which was what we needed! Tony was a really nice host- great communication throughout. Not a bad place to stay but not amazing either…you get what you pay for.

It definitely could have been cleaner. We found dirty glasses, under and around the bed was a bit dirty, smudgy windows, slight “damp” smell on the towels and linen. Just needed a bit more of a proper clean. It was also fairly cold at night - the living room in particular. Just the quality of the place reminded us of uni accommodation..just a bit off. And the beds could have been comfier. Left the place feeling a bit dirty to be honest. But regardless, it was still fine for what we needed!
