Probably the best accomodation i’ve ever been to. A fairytale-like house with a small garden, right in the city center, with parking place. Simply perfect.

Amazing and stylish apartment in the centre of the city, with nice terrace in the garden, very well equipped kitchen and private parking spot.

Bed was too soft

The location was superb and the facilities were wonderful. I loved the kitchen with all the windows! A great place for a family with young children with a garden and a locked gate. Safe and quiet. The parking was a welcomed convenience as well. For my next trip here I definitely want to stay in this place again!!! We absolutely loved it!!!

Our stay was too short…😢

The house is an old miner’s, beautifully, tastefully redone, in the very heart of the old city, close to cafes, restaurants and sights.

The stairs are a little steep, good to know if seniors or little kids are staying

This place is magnificent! Set right in the heart of the old town, Vila Dorothea is both modern and beautifully historic. It has everything you could need including comfy beds, huge rooms, lovely garden, great kitchen, easy parking and even includes views of the Cavalry from the top apartment. It’s perfect for families, couples and groups. And the host is great! One of the better places I’ve stayed.

We only stayed three nights.

Nice, renewed old apartman with a special atmosphere of the Habsburg times. The furniture is perfect, the kitchen and the bathroom are well equipped. Clean, and comfortable. The small garden is well kept, it was a pleasure to have a rest outside after dinner. The town, Selmecbánya is perhaps the most beautiful town in Slovakia. Anywhere you walk, you bump into relicts and period pieces of the former mining and multicultural history. The location with the narrow streets, hills and lakes are gorgeous.

Some restaurants are not dog friendly, which is a shame of the town. Unfortunately dogs are forbidden out of the botanical garden of the ancient University of Mining and Forestry, this is a huge surprise.
