Maison Gigante

È la prima volta che venivamo in Puglia e abbiamo scelto questa location proprio per la posizione strategica! Spero di fare una recensione utile a chi come noi,è la prima volta che viene in Salento e prendere la decisione di restare nell'entro terra come abitazione,per godersi tutto il territorio...credetemi,noi,abbiamo fatto la scelta giusta e la rifarei se dovessi ritornarci! In 20-25 min di strada,si raggiungono a piacere,sia le coste adriatiche, che quelle ioniche(Torre dell'Orso o Porto Cesareo ad esempio) così in base ai venti e relativo mare mosso,si può scegliere al mattino da che parte andare al mare😊fantastico...in un'oretta si è a Santa Maria di Leuca per capirci. Maison Gigante dista 15 minuti da Lecce,quindi arrivarci è un attimo...a due passi dall'appartamento c'è anche la stazione ferroviaria,quindi si può prendere il treno,che fa solo una fermata di mezzo...consiglio una di quelle visite guidate con guida, tipo a 20€ a persona, perché Lecce ,merita davvero scoprirla. Il padrone di casa,Filippo,è una persona davvero cordiale, ed accogliente e che ti fa sentire subito "a casa"...si assicura che ci sia tutto perfetto all'arrivo e ci è stato subito di grande aiuto,nel darci informazioni utili come guardare i venti per decidere dove spostarci sul mare...oppure dove andare a mangiare qui a San Donato di Lecce,ecc ecc...proprio molto ospitale e gentilissimo...,grazie Filippo!!!😀 Il paese comunque è fuori dal mondo,nel senso che c'è tutto e in poco si è dappertutto,ma è di una tranquillità che una volta tornati da una giornatina di spiagge o calette,è l'ideale...e comunque c'è un modesto movimento anche la sera,pur rimanendo tranquillo...a due passi dalla piazza dove ci sono dei localini,pizzerie,gelateria/pasticceria,ecc...proprio una bella zona in centro al Salento!

Onestamente nulla! Ho trovato tutto di mio gradimento.

We had a great stay at this very large 2 bedroom apartment. In a central location for exploring the toe of Italy. You can also get the train into Lecce as its close to the station. The host Philippo was really kind he showed us the property and gave us lots of ideas for places to visit. The ground floor apartment is well equipped and has a large patio with a BBQ and a garden. The beds were really comfortable and the Wifi was good. We were able to park outside on the road. We would stay here again.

Filippo is wonderful! he was very attentive to everything we asked for, and really nice! the place was clean and spacious. There is a very nice back yard, when the sun is out. Parking is easy, and the town is nice - a little coffee place right out the door.

It was very cold, unexpected, and since the ceilings are very high, the AC could not do the work to heat up the place, but Filippo was wonderful and brought us a heater to keep us warm.

Great apartament run by very commited and heplful host, who waited for us despite late arrival. Rooms are spacious, very clean, fully equipped. You just have everything you need there. Plus very climatic patio with a grill place. Appartament is located in the centre of small Italian town - no traffic, very clean, very climatic and we were lucky to participate in traditional fiesta San Donato Fest with lights, procession, family celebration on the streets. Only 25 minut to the beaches on both sides of Apuglian coast. Amazing Lecce only 12 km. We highly recomend it!
