PG173 Golden Palm Resort 6 Berth Caravan With Decking

Everything to like not a bad word to say about our stay.

The caravan is in a perfect location walking distance to all anemities on site, and pubs, which are friendly. The caravan is comfortable and clean and the decking gives some extra space to relax outside, the site itself is dog Friendly. We will definitely be coming back, we'll done host's of PG 173.....Did not want to leave.

There are no down side to this property

Good location as close to the shops and amusement places. Found the place clean. Wi-fi available with smart TV. Had 3 children with me so found that really useful at times. Fire place - gives heat, so a plus.

A weekend stay for a family of 2 adults and 3 children. In 2 days we’ve had 3 power cuts, and froze in both nights. Appreciate that there are apparently random kids that walk around the park that turn off valves etc. but that impacted our stay massively. I messaged the owner and she sent someone to check the issues out promptly, but shortly after they left we had issues with the heating again. Long story short ongoing issues for various reasons both with the electric panel and boiler. Indeed it was extremely windy this weekend, but loud bangs all night caused by the wind, just very difficult to rest. Main bedroom bed had an extremely low quality spring mattress, you could literally feel every single spring. So our sleep was not the greatest. Clearly onsite security needs to be explored. I think having instructions ahead of check-in re location of the caravan would be useful as well as a heads-up of all the issues we encountered with the boiler and power cut.

Caravan was in a great location, local amenities were great.

The caravan had a smell of old smoke even though it was meant to be no smoking, it wasn't the cleanest caravan we've stayed in, you could feel every spring in the mattress. On reading other reviews these issues have been raised alot but not dealt with unfortunately.

Our caravan was spacious, clean and tidy. The resort was just right, not too large or over crowded.

Our main bedroom in the caravan, the light switch did not work, also the mattress was shocking, it was well at the end of its life, you could feel all the springs which also seemed to ' pop ' when you sat on it, very thin and uncomfortable, we only booked for 2 nights but on the second one I ended up sleeping on the sofa in the lounge, it is a shame as the rest of the caravan was great. Really recommend the owners get a new mattress for the main bed.
